Still Marked Read Unread Posts?

Hello all,

Okay, so this just started today, no matter how many times I mark all forums read, it still says I have unread messages on top:

I don't know why it's doing this. Is it a site-wide problem, or just me? It really isn't too huge of an issue, but I'm one of those people who can't stand seeing notifications just sitting there and everything has to be read and stuff :P. It also may confuse me when there actually is unread posts and whatnot.

Can anyone help me please?


EDIT: Only the main page gives me this problem, any others say "zero unread posts".

ANOTHER EDIT: If somebody else posts a new post or something and I go to view it, it says I have no unread posts in the forum search.

YET ANOTHER EDIT: Sometimes it switches to zero unread posts, but then it goes back to the two problems above.

(I think I should rename this thread "Thread Notification System Screwing Up for me" :P)

I'm having a similar problem. The 'Unread posts' link at the top of the page doesn't seem to update properly on a soft refresh. Also, I have noticed that threads aren't ordering properly according to latest post date, like they should.

For both issues, it seems to be solved by a 'hard' refresh (i.e. SHIFT+Refresh). Might be worth you trying this, BlueGhost.

About the threads not going by order, same thing! And I have been refreshing a lot as well, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Also, I can't see my own edits for my own posts sometimes... Maybe this is linked to the editing posts problem? Maybe there's a bug on the site?

I had the same problem this morning via mobile. Read threads do not acknowledge the read and continue to show on the main page. A hard refresh resolves it, but it did return.

Gotta love how servers create kinks and loopholes on their own.

[EDIT] It seems that the sever doesn't log skin changes well either. It also shows my unread messages from an alt account after switching accounts.

The site was being pretty wonky for me today, not refreshing things it normally does (unread posts, people in chat, who's logged in, etc), but it just updated, so maybe it fixed itself?

For those that can get to this thread. Hit F5 on every page that you view to repopulate the new information. The issue is server related. Max will have the problem resolved on Monday.
