Sometimes, when I'm listening to the podcast, I find myself curious how others would answer those questions. Some of them are really good and have potential for lots of interesting answers! I'd like to take this opportunity to start this thread where we can offer our two cents, too.

So, taken from this week's podcast, something I know I've thought about:

Who on the site would you guys like to have a drink (or otherwise hang out) with?

And my own addition:

Is there anyone whose overall body of work/writing (on Althanas) would make a good book, series, or other media?

I think Sei's body of work would make a good young emo soap opera on the CW. The Orlouge Diaries.

There are a ton of people I'd absolutely love to meet, but at this particular moment I'm pretty convinced that a trip to Australia for a drink and draw with Otto and Hysteria would be super fun.

And for the second one, both Mordelain and Flames of Hyperion have developed really interesting networks of characters with overarching plots to tie everything together. I'd love to see Mordelain's crew in a television series with an ensemble cast –– the luxuriously descriptive nature of his writing makes me think it'd translate to some really cool visuals. Flames' work would make a great book series.

Thanks, Luned. I picture a Serenity style (in terms of visual and writing), low-magi fantasy setting for the troupe when I write.

Flames is definitely a Wheel of Time-esque level of awesome book writer in the making!

I'd have to say Luned for a drink, followed by Sir Artemis (brother from another mother).

A UK get together with you, Aure, and Flames would be pretty much one of the best things ever (especially if I could pack Warpath in my suitcase and bring him with me). Someday!

Andy. Him being the only guy I know that's from New York.

As for the second, I'd love to see Flames work as a book, and the wondrous work of Aurie as a show.

Darn, you ladies and gents are awfully kind. Fantastic inspiration to get this thesis rough draft written properly so that I can focus on the new story I've been working on! Thank you all so very much.

The UK get-together would be awesome.

I'd agree that Cyd's cast would make a great Firefly-esque show, only in Fantasy. How about a webcomic starring Luned and Flint? Aurie's best (worst?) would definitely be worthy of the greatest Hammer horror.

One of our FQs, such as the Corpse War or the Salvic Civil War, would translate very well to an epic film, I think...

Flames...where do you live now? PM me...let's make this happen!

Flames definitely has some novel-style stories on Althanas. My chronicles would work better as an anthology than a novel because I jump around so much with my stories, whereas he has some excellent long, coherent storylines.

As for the second question, this UK gathering sounds pretty awesome. It's a shame trans-atlantic travel is so expensive, haha.

I could see Cyd's Tantalus-centered stories being turned into a series of entertaining radio dramas. Full voice cast, expensive sound design, orchestral compositions, the BBC's name slapped somewhere on the box set.

We're actually in talks with HBO.

If they'll take Game of Thrones, they'll take anything.

I'd like to have a drink with quite a few Althanas peeps, Luned, Otto, Sei, Dirks, Babe, Witchie, EI off the top of my head. I do think though I've got an unrealistic (https://levynewsnetwork.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/pete-the-pug-drinking-a-beer-wearing-sunglasses.jpeg) image of what having a drink with Otto would be like.

Afraid I don't have a good answer for the second question. Everyone keeps talking about the Corpse War... which sounds like a cool epic.

How about Fox's question, what item would you buy if you have 1m GP to spend in the Bazaar?

I would buy for translator necklace for Grond so people can actually understand him. Also, only those who is talking to can understand him.

I would also buy a fleet of ships for the TTC.

I would buy Eiskalt as an official region, Kaida twin guns, and Ashla a freaking ice palace...
