Hi. I just noticed that I had a message on Facebook from Lye... dated March 3rd. (I totally rock the Book of Faces, y'all.)

It said that people kind of wanted to see me back? Or wanted to know I had a pulse, at least?

I think I have a pulse more often than not (I'm not entirely sure, though).

Oof. I've been gone so long I don't remember my characters' personalities very well, much less anything about the forum. Never mind how it's evolved since I left. I dunno.

Just make a new one or two! Lye is still one of my favorites, but some of my new ones like Alyssa are much more fun. You can even "retire" an old one and use their exp toward a new one! I can even get you going on some of our story arcs coming up. We've been busy. :P

I haven't leveled Karuka up since level seven, and she was technically at ten last I checked. Gods only know what she's been doing in the meantime. If I feel the call after doing my research, I'll see what I can do. I've been writing, off and on, but play by (paragraphical) post... it's been a very, very long time.

Well, here's a quick synopsis of what's been happening and what happened.

Right now there are two major factions vying for power. The Order of the Crimson Hands (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26173-Order-of-the-Crimson-Hands-Recruitment) and The Ixian Knights (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?25941-The-Ixian-Knights-Recruitment-Drive-Spectacular!). Just recently these two factions clashed in the island nation of Eiskalt (http://www.althanas.com/world/showwiki.php?title=Eiskalt+Wikia). The Order sought to wreak havoc in an attempt to weaken the locals and usurp power. They would then use the island as a forward base of operations. The Ixians answered the nations plea for help and the two clashed. Other rogue groups such as The Cult of Blessed Torture (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26358-The-Darkness-Beckons-Cult-of-Blessed-Torture-Recruitment) and Misery Business (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26358-The-Darkness-Beckons-Cult-of-Blessed-Torture-Recruitment) contributed their hands in the fray. All of which lead to an intense war (http://www.althanas.com/world/forumdisplay.php?159-Clans-Wars) which ravaged the poor island nation. During which, Lye caused an immensely powerful Ixian Immortal, Jensen Ambrose (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26336-Jensen-Ambrose-Level-14-Update), to abandon his allegiance to the Knights and seek out revenge against The Leader of the Cult of Blessed Torture, Catherine Remi (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?27062-Requiem-of-Insanity-The-Crimson-Angel). His desire for revenge wreaked more chaos on the lands. Even the Cell champion, Astarelle Set'Roh (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26277), struggled to speak sense into the man. At present, the War is in its final stages, but the damage to Eiskalt was catastrophic.

Meanwhile, the leader of The Order, Lichensith Ulroke (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?27626-Lye-Ulroke-Chapter-6-Destroyer-of-Lives) plotted with the trickster and half-demon Aurelius Drak'shal (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?26256-Warlock-by-profession-bastard-by-disposition-%28Aurelianus-Drak-shal-level-5%29) to lay siege on the Ixian's base of operations. Their assault was successful, and luckily this was just after the great Silence Sei Orlouge (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?27048-A-Headache-For-the-RoG!-%28Sei-LEVEL-18!!!!!!!!!!%29) relinquished command to his four daughters. The most prominent of them being Kyla Orlouge (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?27014-Kyla-Orlouge-Level-10). Fortunately, due to the events which occured on the Night of Debauchery (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?24066-The-Night-of-Debauchery) the assassin, Lye, successfully redirect the young Orlouge's rage toward the Cult of Blessed Torture.

With tempers high, webs woven, and relationships strained, there is no telling what misfortune could be next. Rumors of dragons stirred during the war have begin to whisper in the streets of the major cities. A plague runs rampant in Eiskalt. Raiaeran elves are massing to stage a purifying crusade on their homeland, and certain people have heard whispers of Xem'Zund's possible return. Registration for the Gisela Tournament is still under way, and the Magus Cup is coming to a close in the Semi-Finals. Let's also not forget a new Elite group of adventurers (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?27427-Tarot-Hierarchy-Recruitment-Page!) which have banned together with the final goal of restoring the fractured Tap to its former glory.

That's not even everything, but those are some of the main highlights going on and coming up.

Wow. The only names I recognized in that thing were Lye and Silence Sei. Also Kyla. I think I judged a thread once with Silence Sei and... crap. I forget his name, but he was a big guy when I was a squiggling minnow. Eiskalt wasn't a thing a few years ago.

Well, time to do my homework to see if the old neighborhood playground is still a place in which I can play. :)

Eiskalt is pretty new. It was non-canon home of BlueGhostofSeaSide's character and was volunteered for the location of the Clan War, which then made it canon. So probably only four months old?
