So, Cyd mentioned the prerelease events that were on this weekend (Which I didn't go to) and I'm aware that we have some other players bumping around so why not have a thread about it??

Im mucking around with some different deck ideas at the moment. A red white that uses tokens and direct damage spells, as well as a blue green that uses unblock able blue creatures and green tanks (also has Kiora and garruk caller of beasts).

Favorite card?

Toss-up between Rancor and Strangleroot Geist. Straight, simple face-kicking cards are my favorite kind of cards.

I've been play testing the new standard environment on Cockatrice and it looks like Mardu mid range is going to be the top dog just because curving a Rabble Raider or Brimaz into a Butcher of the Hoard or Sorin is usually more than enough to take over the game and those colors also have most of the best removal. Others decks I've run into are B/W Warrior Aggro, Mardu Control, and Jeskai (American) Control. It's going to be an interesting format especially with all the wonky mana bases.

I was a huge fan of Ravnica when it came out first. Fell in absolute love with the Orzhov (black/white). That being said if not for Ravnica it's Slivers. All the time. Love those bastards.
