He came in dressed unlike anybody else the shop had ever seen. That is to say, he arrived in handcuffs and accompanied by two armed guards. In the hands of Zack Blaze were a pair of dragon scales, a reward for his assistance in not only the defeat of the poison dragon Stinky, but also for exposing the faun Philomel as an agent of the Crimson Hand.

"Seriously, you guys don't have to follow me everywhere," Zack rolled his eyes, "People will start to talk..."

The no-nonsense guards grunted a reply at their prisoner. Zack sighed and approached the counter of the tailor/enchantment shop. He placed the two dragon sclaes upon the counter, a grin upon his features as he spoke.

"Hello my good man," Zack waved with his shackled hands, "This dragonsclae is from that pesky beast that terrorized Alerar not too long ago. Rather than craft some armor from it, I have a couple of requests of what I want done with it. First, I'd like e4ach scale crafted into fingerless gloves to help my street fighting career, however short lived -that- may become."

He motioned his head to the authorities on either side of him. "Secondly, I can sense that there is still some residual power left in these things. What I want is for you to bring out that part that could create zombies into the scales once their crafterd to the gloves. Now, I have no intention of zombifying anybody. But I'd like to activate that part that resets the mind from normal human to full on Zombie. Essentially, I want contact with my fists to trigger a short term memory loss of sorts. Is that something you could maybe do?"

Garus Madul was, it had to be said, difficult to catch off guard. A lifetime of serving as tailor and enchanter to those rich enough to afford his fees, he had seen it all. Every form of clothing, from finely made and elegant, to crotchless and spiked; he had made it, with nary a bat of an eye. But seeing this disheveled human march into his store, bold as brass, with all the arrogant gait of a lord.. it almost made the graceful half-elf blink.

Almost.

He listened quietly, his hands working away with needle and thread as the man outlined what he wanted of the enchanter. Garus, one eyebrow raised quizzically, shifted his golden-flecked eyes to the two guards.

"This man," he barely deigned to gesture to the prisoner, the cloth in his hands dripping with sparks of raw magic as he worked an enchantment into the veil, "does he have the coin to pay for these items?"

The guards glanced at one another, before the senior of the two nodded.

"Aye, he has the money. And he's got the permission to spend it," the man trailed off, grumbling.

"What was that?" Garus asked, finally turning his eyes to Zack.

"I said, sir, that if I had my way, he'd be in a cage, instead of being rewarded."

Garus allowed himself a small smirk as he addressed Zack. "Seems you're none too popular. But, yes, I can do what you wish. The enchantment will stun momentarily, with a fugue of memory repression for between thirty seconds and a minute." He leaned over the counter a little to whisper conspirationally.

"You have no idea how often some of my clients want something that'll wipe memories."

He chuckled to himself, laying aside the crimson veil he'd been working on, and made a few notes on a scrap of paper on the counter. Tutting and humming to himself, the half-elf cleared his throat, and turned his inhuman eyes back to the customer.

"All told, that will be one thousand, seven-hundred. You can leave the scales here, and the items will be ready for collection tomorrow or the day after."

"That sounds wonderful, pal!" Zack smiled as he motioned his head over to one of the guards. The large man grumbled as he reached into his pocket and took out a bag of money and set it on the table. "I will be back tommorow to get it. Oh, and one more thing, make sure one glove has a Z carved into it while the other glove has a B. I want to make sure people know who is beating them senseless should the opportunity ever arise again."

He smirked and turned around, the guards now closer to him as though worried he would run for it. The shopkeep could hear him laugh as he strolled out of the bazaar.
