I went far enough back to notice we haven't had one of these threads in a while.
I've been finishing up the last few chapters of Invitation to a Beheading (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invitation_to_a_Beheading), because I've been on a bit of a Nabokov kick since the summer. However, I haven't really had a chance to unleash some of the absurdity of the world described in it.
In my solo's journal entries, I've been trying to channel Hermann from Despair (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Despair_%28novel%29), as I greatly enjoy the use of prose mixed with an unreliable narrator.
So, what have you been reading lately? And have you found anything in it to inspire your own works?
