The Beginning and the meeting.

The soft moonlight streamed through the thick forests of Concordia. Shadows of night creatures and predators roam through the cold earth searching for prey. Music of various insects called out to one another. Everything seemed peaceful and quiet as like any other night.

A rustling of some leaves were disturbed by a blur figure. Hark! What could it be? Look closely and there, a mysterious cloak figured quickly running through the woods. Feet that are light and quick as the wind had sprung and landed on thick tree branches. A breeze lifted the hood of the cloak figured as the figure jumped from one thick and sturdy tree trunk to another. A young woman's face was revealed with wisps of midnight hair gleaming under the pale moonlight.

Blasting nightfall...

I couldn't believe it! I spent all freaking day looking for that firewolf I was sent after... and nothing. I was weary now, slowly stepping through the ferns of Concordia. I used my steel knuckle duster katana to slice through any foliage in my path. I felt myself vibrating, this darkness was driving me nuts!

I stopped suddenly when I heard a branch crack. I just about jumped than looking below to a common twig. So I was the culprit of that noise!

But wait! - Didn't I hear more ferns rustle. What about those trees quaking? Was someone else here?

Okay, so I was a bit scared... only a little scared though! I put my katana away and pulled out my greatsword Calcator. Then I turned the chainsaw mechanism on and proceeded to chop a tree down.

As the tree fell and leaves flew, and glanced from left to right - only a little anxious... a little.

"W-Who's th-ther-re??" Wow, my voice wasn't meant to sound like that...

I slowly stopped at a huge branch of one these huge trees. I thought I heard something crashed and felt a little tremble of the on the earth. I almost proceeded to go onto my way when I heard someone's voice shaking. "W-Who's th-ther-re?"

I leaned against the tree and peered over the thick leaves covering my view. Thankfully another breeze came by and I was able to see a glimpse of a female creature...wait no..a human? I didn't think that humans come to this place. Interesting, I thought. Lightly like a cheetah preying on its victim, I gracefully jumped down to the next branch to observe this interesting female human. With the moonlight gently glowing on her, she had this pale blonde hair and faded purple color hair. A built and a fair figure, yet my first impression is that she's timid. What really catch my eyes is her choices of weapons. Her katana had a different shape and the sword itself was unique. I've never seen anything like that. Next would be the weapon that chopped the great tree down. It was V-shaped and looked like a chainsaw.

My curiosity was piqued, but couldn't afford to observe, less I want to be discovered, or approached her. Then something triggered my senses. A foul smell....that smelled of fire, corpses, blood and death. It could only mean one thing..a firewolf and a hungry one at it coming right this way...
I muttered, "Effing crap, what the heck should I do..."

That smell... was horrid.

Then, the sound of trees falling behind me sounded. I gasped and turned around, Calcator in hand. There it was. It was taller than six feet! Fure engulfed its entire body, it's eyes black as coal. Steam stormed around it, teeth bloodied and yellow.

I could help but scoff, "So you're the puppy I'm looking for..."

I blinked to get the smoke out of my eyes and lifted my sword to slice. A moment of suspended silence passed before it charged! As it charged though -

I sighed. You gotta love the fact that our senses never proves us wrong.....

That frigging thing had to just come and ruin this.....It was right there in front of this girl and I'm up here at the tree unnoticed. Now what? Should I leave it to her and go onto my way.....or help out....

Decisions...decisions...for some reason I always hate them. Ah, what the heck, I'll help her and then flee.

With swiftness, I pulled out my long bow and five poisonous arrows placed them in positions and began aiming. That poor girl looked frozen in the spot, but determined to kill it as it charges.

Well, no matter what, I'm still going to kill this stupid and nosey beast. I aimed for its heart, took a breath in, closed my eyes and let go......

Vibrations from the bow made that hateful and blasted sound seemed to have shocked the firewolf. By the time it realized what's happening, my arrows struck right through at the designated place, the heart. I could see blood starting to gush out. CRASH.... well it's dead...I think?? I better get out.

After taking a glance, I turned around began on my way..

She's... great...

I indeed was quite impressed with how quickly this sudden girl was able to kil- Hey! Where did she even come from? Was she stalking me? Was she just passing by and decided to help me out? I couldn't see much of anything in this thick forest, as even the flames of the now dead firewolf was dimming its flames. I could see my saver turning to leave though.

I reached out to her, pretty much dropping Calcator in the process. "Wait!"

She stopped dead silent.

For once a forest that would have been crawling with nocturnal life went silent. I realized my weapon was lost in the ferns below. Next to me. I felt my face go hot, a smile of embarrassment forcing itself onto my face. "Um, thanks? I had it but thanks...

... I'm usually not this clumsy..."

I blinked.

So, she saw me...huh. Man and here I thought I could sneak out. Yeah, you dumbo, with that stupid blasted sound from the bow, of course she would notice where you are...

I mentally shook my head to clear my thoughts and before I gave a second thought, I gracefully jumped down from the tree trunk and came face to face with the girl.

Being a shortie myself, I looked up woah…she’s tall…hmmm she may be tall, but she looks young say around 16-17? …gorgeous and unique tanzanite-hues stared into my eyes. How interesting, purple eyes? Wow, I never seen purple eyes….are those natural??

I blinked a couple of times and tilted my head to the side and realized my hood was up. Should I put my hood down? Why do I feel so nervous? She’s just another human being…..maybe because I haven’t seen another human for weeks now?

I cleared my throat and gave a polite smile, “You’re welcome….”
