Heads up you might wanna grab some tissues, heartwarming post inbound

So I've been off and on this site since like I was 14, which doesn't seem like much of a big deal aside from I'm now twenty and I've changed a lot. This site has served various purposes over the years, be it a place to grow as a writer, or simply as a place to kill time. It seems like whenever I'm at a low I come back to this site and the wonderful community helps me get on my feet and get in a better place. The people on this site have served as an internet family for me, and many of you have often given me advice when I didn't feel like I could turn to anyone else. To this day this site serves as a font of wisdom to me. Before my worries were being social and girls, now I'm worried about my future and the possibility of starting a family and I know that I can ask and people will give me generally good natured advice.

Not aside from the mushy stuff I would like to get to the point. I've reached a point in my life where I need to get my shit together and part of that means getting my act together as a writer. My dream is to one day be a published author and that means I need to improve my skills. Long story short that means I'm here to stay for quite a while, and I would really like to give back the community in any way possible. If I could do anything, even if it meant janitorial duties I would take it up.

What type of mod work is the site lacking in and how can I help?

Write moar!

Hehehe. You can apply for staff (http://www.althanas.com/world/faq.php?faq=joinstaff#faq_staffapplication) if you're interested. Otherwise, tag along with newbies and showing them the ropes is a great way to get people involved and help out.

I think I left the broom in the cupboard over there. *points*

Honestly, you are awesome. I think writing more is always a good idea indeed. You could start some quests with multiple people to get them excited about the sight. That would be a good place to begin. Even make a couple of activity threads in the Flying Stone Tavern would be a help. I am not sure what is lacking on the staff front at the moment, I think an admin could tell you that, but overall just be yourself!
