Closed to Zack Blaze.
The Citadel. A place where the best of the best gathered from far and wide to test their knowledge and skill in combat. A place where warriors clashed and blood spilled. A place where death was inexpensive, a place where war was heaven. A place where...
... Hopeless dreamers wiped the floor.
So what was I? A destined fighter or a worthless blimp? Different people would say different things about me. I know several people, most of them foes, some of them dear friends. Whether anyone hates me though, no matter what happens, I stay to myself and keep my head high. The curious nightmares that haunted me at night were ignored in the daytime, a hyper blonde racing through Corone defeating monsters. You could say I'm literally the "difference between night and day."
Who am I you ask? Who is this hyper teenager who screams at night and smiles at day? I am no hopeless dreamer, for my dreams are odd and full of fears. I am awake in a world that needs heroes. Why else have I joined the Ixian Knights as an official monster hunter? My name, earned here, is Kaida Lacey May.
One of my favorite places to chill - or heat up - is the Citadel. I can fight freely here, as even some missions in the Ixian Knights keep me from slicing those gruesome creatures' heads off. So, here I stood, in just another arena and just another fight.
This was a rectangular room, an extremely simple colored one. It was grey, nothing but grey. At least the floor was simple. I looked up to see that various boxes, latters, teeter-todders, and other contraptions attached to the wall that stretched for a long whiles. Occasional platforms filled the gaps between the walls without being classified as a roof. The room itself was skinny. Still skinny enough to allow two or three people to move around easily, but this was no mansion parlour. The door right in front of me opened. I felt myself jump in excitement, My opponent is here!
I pulled my arm up to the hilt of the greatsword hanging on my back, Calcator, and waited to see him, a smirk ever growing on my face.
