Personality: Ellie is a very kind and excitable person. She will go out of her way to meet and become friends with complete strangers and is very outgoing. She cares very deeply towards those who show any kind of respect or endearment towards her and accepts most people at face value. This can also be considered one of her flaws is that she may be a bit TOO trusting as she also is one to fall for simple tricks. Ellie isn’t one to normally get jealous or angry too often, but she is a bit embarrassed of her ‘less developed womanly figure’. Ellie will go out of her way to protect people whom she cares about, even if it means harming herself in the process, however Ellie is very scared of handling weapons and is afraid of hurting people. Even if it’s her enemy Ellie feels empathy and doesn’t want to inflict pain or suffering on anyone.
History: Ellie grew up in a lower class of the High Elvish with her parents in Raiaera. They owned a small inn near the eastern coast and also offered themselves as an infirmary for those who couldn’t afford higher medical attention. Ellie’s mother was well adept in healing magic and her father was quite the herbalist. The couple took care of people who needed medical attention on a scale from anywhere to a slight cough to being deathly ill, all for no charge. They welcomed tips as it helped to pay for more medical supplies but they never asked for pay and did it out of the kindness of their hearts. Ellie looked up to her mother as a young child and wanted to learn the art of healing as well. Her mother refused to teach her for years as it put a physical strain on the body. Ellie’s father openly accepted her will to help people and would occasionally teach her little things about herbs and anatomy. As Ellie reached the age of around 40 her mother finally gave in to Ellie’s desires and started to teach her healing magic. The two parents taught their child and between the two of them Ellie was very busy. Unfortunately due to Ellie’s naivety and over enthusiasm she would often make mistakes and so her learning was a bit slower. She would soon learn that she needs to take her time and focus on what she’s doing. Twenty years later Ellie reached her sixties. She was excited but it was short lived as the corpse war would soon begin. The wounded and injured would flood into their simple little inn. There were so many they had to begin turning people away. Ellie, determined to help as many people as possible, would stay up late and sneak out of the house to help with minor cases she could handle by herself. One particular night she found a man lying in an alleyway. His breathe was short and his skin cold, ice cold. Ellie, ignorant of the state of undead at the time, tried to console the man and help him. Ellie’s mother found the two of them, as she had discovered her daughter snuck out and followed suit. Her mother tried to convince Ellie to leave the man, trying to shield her from the horrors that were the undead. Unfortunately Ellie was overly persistent and the undead stood and attacked her. Ellie’s mother jumped in the way, un-adept in fighting, she was killed by the undead in front of poor Ellie’s young eyes. Her Father, hearing the screams, ran outside quickly and grabbed his daughter. They retreated to their home and from then on Ellie stayed with her father trying to help take over the business.
Appearance: Fair skin with long blonde hair. Ellie keeps her hair in an interesting style of pig-tails. Splitting her hair into two parts down the middle behind her head, braiding only the lower half and letting the braids rest on her shoulders. Ellie has dark green eyes, and a small petite figure. She is less developed than other women, human or elf, leaving her looking a bit childish at times.
Skills: Knowledge of anatomy and minor knowledge of herbs and potions.
Abilities:
1. Mediocre healing: Ellie has the ability to heal and mend mediocre wounds such as cuts, bruises, and scratches. She can do this up to 10 times a day although it exhausts her if she reaches her 10 use limit. Anything past 10 and Ellie starts to become sick herself, becoming fatigued and requiring rest.
2. Light Shield: Ellie has the ability to place a warding shield similar to an extra layer of skin over a target. This can protect from light blows or attacks and can be used three times a day. The shield can deflect one arrow or cut/stab from a small weapon per cast. For larger strikes, it minimizes damage as though one were wearing light leather. Similar exhaustion and consequences occur as with her mediocre healing ability.
3. Inspire: Ellie has the ability to sing to her comrades, inspiring them to perform greater tasks. This is a kind of buff and is dependent on the quality of her performance. The buff currently only boosts potential outcomes of a certain task (for example lifting a heavy object can become easier) and is incapable in its current state of letting a subject perform a task they would otherwise be unable to perform (For example lifting something heavier than what a character can handle).
Equipment/Weapons: Ellie carries a simple iron stiletto for cutting simple objects and herbs. She will rarely use it for combat and is afraid of harming people, including enemies. The only equipment she has is a necklace her mother used to wear shaped like a caduceus. This necklace has no special enchantment or effects and is purely a sentimental trinket.
