The Tarot Hierarchy Mission Board

Welcome fellow Cards of the Tarot Hierarchy! You have been chosen to join our prestigious organization because your destiny is calling you. The mysterious seer Leona has found a need for your skills and abilities and expects great things out of you. That being said she has tasked her Hierophant (me) with sniffing out all sorts of artifacts for us to recover and bring to our vault so they may not fall into the wrong hands. Below I will outline several missions (up to about ten or fifteen at a time) for you to take. Some will be capable of doing solos for, some I will require you team up with another member. Some missions will be for minor arcana only, and some will require a major arcana to be in the group. Basically just check back here often if you are looking for a thread but don’t have any idea what you want to do.

The Sword of the Emperor: (Needs at least one major Arcana and two minor)

Difficulty Level: Moderate (Recommended level 2+)

This blade has been rumored to be lost somewhere near underwood in Corone, guarded zealously by a group of bandits who misuse its ability to torture prisoners. It takes twice as long for a wound inflicted by this blade to stop bleeding. This is one of the major artifacts for the Hierarchy and must be located posthaste.

The wand of the Hierophant: (At least two people)

Difficulty level: Easy Peasy (Any level)

This wand was once owned by some of the most prestigious magicians of old Raiaera. It was passed down into modern era through the Kilvos Nobility who fled Raiaera during the corpse war. Vincent managed to reach out to them and using some of the Hierarchy’s connections and persuaded them to give it up. (Description of power TBD)

The High Priestess’s Pentacle (Two Major Arcana + any number of minor arcana.)

Difficulty: Moderate to hard (2-4+)

Vincent managed to track the pendant down to Salvar but after that the church of the sway began to get in the way. Any people questing for this item should be prepared for the harshness of Salvar and its church and refrain from using magic if able. The Cult of the Sway is ruthless. The amulet itself is interesting in its properties. Thrice a day it can release a pulse of energy that can disrupt spells weak level spells (spells cast by players level 1-2)

The Skeleton Key: (Solo) (Claimed by Fox)

Difficulty: Any

This key is strange and has been found in many myths and legends surrounding very famous thieves and vagabonds. As far as Vincent’s research can tell it is in fact very real and is probably lurking somewhere in Etheria port. The rest is up to Fate, and you. This key can thrice a day open any non-magical lock, and on a full moon it has twice as many uses.

More to come, PM me with ideas and I’ll add them and give you credit!

The Scale of Justice (Needs at least 1 Major + 2 or more others) (Credit to Alyssa Snow)

Difficulty Level: Very Hard

In the desert sands of Fallien, under the careful watch of the Jya's Royal Guard, a rumor has surfaced about a relic. It is said, that in times of uncertainty, doubt, and betrayal, the Jya refers to this relic for guidance in judging the weight of one's soul. It is an indestructible glass scale that is said to weigh the purity of a man's soul by gazing at him through the weighing plates. On one side, the glass is clouded and rough, on the other, perfectly clear and smooth. Should the scale tilt toward the rough, a man's past, current, and future are weighed to be of impure intentions. Should the scale tilt to the clear, a man's past, current, and future are weighed to be of the purest intentions. A balance of the two indicates moral ambiguity. While it does not discern the truth from lies, the morality of man is all some need to enact Justice.

Using this relic, the Jya has made final rulings which have ended lives, stopped conflicts in the tribes before they began, and solved many sensitive political matters. As a result, she can become exceptionally fond of the relic. When it is not being used, it us under guard, lock, and key. Only she may use it and only her high priestesses and those that have survived its trials have seen it.

Lost during an unknown event in the Tarot's history, this object must be brought back home. The manner of which is up to you but keep in mind, the Fallieni are a xenophobic, tribal people. They do not take kind to strangers, and they do not forgive
