History: Five hundred and forty years ago, in the Catacombs beneath Scara, an old enemy awoke. Hidden beneath the idyllic city for centuries, the Forgotten One Oblivion arose to a world much changed since the War of the Tap. His siblings had broken free of their spiritual prisons and twisted kingdoms into fell thrones in homage to the days of old. Branded a coward by Apotheosis, Pode, Xem’Zund, and Denebriel, the Memorymancer put a scheme into motion.

He approached a troupe of actors, writers, and bohemians that lived in the Novello Slums of Old Scara Brae. The five principle members worshipped a lesser Thayne called Tantalus, God of Bards and avatar of Scara Brae’s people. Their happiness and contentment in a time of peace was brought about by the troupe’s performances in a cycle of creativity. To ensure his survival, scared of his sibling’s hatred, he shattered his own soul into five shards and embedded them into the troupe.

As the troupe forgot who they were, they forgot Tantalus as well. The Thayne, reliant on the dedication of those who believed in him, was easily overwhelmed by Oblivion. He sealed away his final essence in the Tap itself, and reshaped it in Tantalus’ image – a dimension that would be known as The Aria in centuries to come. Oblivion used this imagery to enslave the troupe, binding them in a spell of forgetting that would ensure they remained oblivious, and that his power remained eternal.

Three hundred years passed, and each death the troupe suffered brought them a new life, reincarnated into a new character dreamed by Oblivion in his self-isolation. Little did he know, but Tantalus was slowly creeping back from the recesses of The Aria, fighting his own private war to regain his physical form. Only after centuries of turning Oblivion’s theatrical delusions into heroes planted through time did Tantalus gain his first victory. The Bard Duffy Bracken remembered who he was.

Lillith, Arden, and Ruby followed soon thereafter, in the first tentative years of the War with the Revenant Lucius. They did not know it at the time, but the shadow was a small manifestation of Tantalus’ will, sent to work against them and to bring their memories to the surface. It worked. Soon, the troupe remembered fully, and began a campaign of attrition against the Forgotten Ones in search of Oblivion’s true resting place, and for a solution to their enslavement. Remembering was not enough, they had to live as the heroes they had once been.

They have been many people. Arden in particular a mute, a thief, a swordsman, a murderer, an assassin, a vagabond, a hero of Scara Brae, and a legendary spirit warder of Akashima. Fighting against Oblivion has rekindled the true nature of the Silent Swordsman, and in recent months, he finally found a way to break truly free from Oblivion’s curse and be reborn as he once was, five centuries ago. The man known as Lord Tiger, slayer of Greater Oni, Maester of the Scara Scourge, and newly returned Ixian Captain leads the final campaign against the Forgotten Ones.

Whilst Oblivion successfully wrote the lives of the troupe in stone, he did not write their deaths. He dared to think that he was undefeatable, and like all the Forgotten Ones, that people would forget the War of the Tap, and with it, how to lay low the enemies of the free world. What they did not count on, however, is the bond shared between five unlikely heroes and vagabonds. In common thespianism and in pursuit of sharing fable and song, the Tantalum troupe may well be dead, but the five men and women who once worshipped the Thayne Tantalus very much live on. The battle is over, but now the war has begun.

Skills:

Evoker: He can coerce people to follow commands adeptly. This means he can attempt to sway the acts of others to his advantage, if not outright scare them into line.

Escapist: Arden has acquired skills to escape bonds and cells. This includes knots, locks, and climbing with limited resources. He can make keys and climbing equipment.

Economist: Arden knows the operations and laws of Corone’s criminal underworld. He can use this to financial and political gain within the free and black markets of the island.

Enforcer: Arden’s alias is the Silent Swordsman. His skill with a single-handed blade is legendary, and he is unrivalled in the Ixian Knights at swordplay, defence, and silent movement

Abilities:

The Aria: Arden manifests the Tap contrary to the troupe. His power is destruction. He takes where allies give. He consumes voices and communication. He is a mute, unable to speak using language.

• Erase: Arden erases writing ten square inches per 4 seconds. This extends to text not written in ink (marks in sand etc.) He cannot erase magically created literature.

• Blink: Arden blinks from existence for two seconds in the same place when still and the same momentum if mobile. He can use this to dodge attacks and bypass walls. Five uses per thread.

• Silence: Arden can transfer his mute hood to another for three posts, but it does not prevent breathing or sounds of emotion/response. It does not affect telepathy.

• Scribe: Arden can create text with blood by controlling it telekinetically. It appears quickly, as though scribbled in haste. It is his primary means of communication.

Possessed: Possessed by the spirit of the Great Oni Komodo, Arden’s fighting speed is X2. He is blind in his right eye, highly tolerant of pain, and his endurance to physical damage is X4.

Blood Magic: Arden can use forbidden Blood Magic of Akashima spirit warders. This draws on the life force found in living things. He has begun to surpass his father’s talents.

• Rage: Every kill gives a rage point. When rage reaches eight Arden gets +3 strength, which stacks to a max of 10, but he becomes a beast and cannot use abilities for 3 posts.

• Rise: Arden can summon blood wings by wounding himself. They allow slow gliding for two posts. No pain if damaged. Activation gives a rage point.

• Reunion: Fang collects blood in the handle. Arden can resurrect the dead with this within an hour of death twice per day. It requires mutual consent and gives 5 rage points.

• Ruin: By cutting a palm, Arden can gain +3 strength with the Fang for the duration of three posts. It costs one rage point and is useable per day.

Sorry for the delay. You're pretty much ready to go, but I'd like two clarifications. The first is that your strength can't go over 10, so it can stack three times, but sits at 10x.

The second is with your ability to resurrect the dead. I'm fine with you being able to do this during competitive completions, but can you limit it to twice a day? Or let me know if you want to wiggle it another way.

Also, that pic is redonkulous.

I've made the requested edits.

Could you keep this open until the bazaar transactions can be completed? I will post again to confirm when the items have been edited in.

Many thanks Hysteria!
