Atrina
02-22-15, 05:55 AM
Age: 19
Race: Human
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 90 lbs
Location: Unknown
Personality: Kind, fair, and unpredictably forgetful.

Atrina is a human girl with a particularly terrible form of traumatic incident induced amnesia, and her short-term memory is wiped hundreds of times per day. For example, a person who has just introduced themselves might be forgotten by the end of the sentence introducing themselves, or they may last in her mind for a few moments. These episodes are usually only a second or so long, and Atrina is usually unaware of them. Memories can be forced past these episodes with a bit of conditioning over the course of several episodes, allowing Atrina to eventually remember names, faces, or important tasks. She has been studied by a few mages and scientists who believe her condition may be magical in nature, no one has been able to keep track of her long enough to investigate any further.

Atrina however is a lover of nature and all things within. She can hear the voices of trees and flowers, and has more than once ended an encounter with dangerous predators with an ear scratch or a belly rub. She can feel everything's place in nature, and loves to be apart of it. The cold, hard bricks of the inner city feel wrong on her bare feet, and she can hardly feel the essence of nature or hear the words of the trees. Because of her connection with nature, animals are far more approachable for the young druid. Birds may flock to her for an extra bit of fruit before the winter migration, or reckless wolves may seek her out to mend an injured paw. Artina does not fear death in the normal sense of the condition, believing that the cycle of nature is the only thing that matters. The forest grows so the deer may eat, so that the wolf may eat, so that the wolf may die and feed the forest.

Though the trees do not part with their knowledge easily or often, they chose this girl for reasons she cannot hope to remember. With her, they were patient as trees always are, letting her slowly memorize the ways of their magic and practice it. For years they spoke to her, reminding her of their purpose, and of hers. She was a tender of nature, they called it, interfering only as she felt needed. The philosophy was mostly lost on young Atrina, though she tends to maintain herself as a friend to every creature, wild or civilized.

Abilities:

Soothing Touch: Atrina channels the power of nature to heal small scratches up to 10 times per day. Using more casts at once, she can heal more severe wounds, but cannot stop a fatal wound from taking a life.
Voice of Nature: Atrina is able to calm feral animals by speaking to them, and may be able to convince them to do her bidding. Will not work on enraged, summoned, or magical beasts, or on sentient creatures.
Empowered by the Wilds: Atrina is able to harness the energy around her, producing a small green orb. She can throw this orb up to 30 feet before it fizzles out. If the orb hits an enemy or non-plant object, it will explode, producing a loud bang and bright flash, and dealing a small amount of concussive damage. She can cast this twice per day.

Skills:

Herbalism
Animal Handling/Care
Orienteering
Weather Prediction
Gathering

Items:
Fur and Leather Pouch: Atrina has a small over-the-shoulder bag she uses to carry herbs and other items, large enough to hold about a gallon.

Companion:
Fen: A 2 year old red fox that follows Atrina around like a pet. Fen was gifted to Atrina after she completed the basics of her training, and helps Atrina gather herbs and food in the wild. She doesn't mind the business of cities, and is often underfoot while playfully exploring.

Yo, we've already talked a bit o this will be simple as pie.

For your healing ability could you edit your healing to be able to heal minor scratches and such for single uses, but if you put multiple uses into one cast you can heal more severe wounds?
