Silence Sei

"I'm sorry, I don't think that I heard you correctly," the masked youth attempted to dig some ear wax out of his ear with his pinky. "It sounded like you just said you're leaving the Knights."
The Ixian Castle war room was filled with all the higher-ups and decision makers among the Knights. The Nine generals, save a few vacant seats left open in the absence of certain members, sat in their chairs calmly to this news. Even Sei Orlouge, the leader of the Ixian's, seemed unphased by the announcement. The only person in the well lit rooom that spoke out against this was the official psychiatrist to the clan of warriors, Play Back.
"You know I don't mince words, PB," The young man that stood by Sei's side replied, "I am leaving the Knights and heading into Corone to follow my own path. I have spoken at length with Sei about this and he is unopposed to my leaving. I just felt that I should make it official to all of you guys before I just up and disappear." Andrew Octane rubbed the back of his brunette hair and smiled, though it seemed the boy put a lot of effort into the gesture.
"He doesn't really want to go," Arden Janelle spoke up between sips of his drink, "but he thinks he needs to. We all have our personal journies we must take in order to feel welcomed back here at some point."
"Let the douche go," Jensen Ambrose spoke out as he stabbed between each of his fingers with a knife. The taps of the blades tips seemed to affect no one in the room, though Sei's eyes did focus on the holes that the Wetworks Captain left in his mahogany wood. "It's not like the guy's ever punched a single person for us. The guy is complete dead weight, what do we need him for?"
Play Back slammed his fists against the wood of the table and turned every eye in the room towards him. "After everything that has been happening, you don't really mean that?! Octane is probably the only mind in this room that could rival Lord Orlouges, and now he's going to take his leave of us?! With all the information he has?! It's because of him that the viceroys are dead! I refuse to believe you guys are just all ok with this!"
Sei finally stood up and his chair moaned against the floor as it dragged. He looked towards the masked Play Back and smiled to him. "Play Back, I understand your concern for Andrew," the mute walked over to Jensen and took his knife with the dexterity of a thief in the night. "While this decision is a bit abrupt, Andrew has his reasons for taking his leave of us, I assure you."
The smell of tea permeated through the room as the silence lingered for several seconds. It was Taka Benjiro who finally cut through the tension. "May I ask what his reasoning is, Lord Orlouge?"
Sei's eyes shifted towards the youth in the leather jacket, unsure if it were his place to speak up about his intentions. Andrew Octane shrugged and then let out a true smile. "Sure thing, Taka. I'm going to run for President of Corone."
