So here is a thread (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?29098-Voice-of-the-People&p=245637#post245637) in which Andrew Octane, Senior Advisor to the IK, is going to run for President of Corone. This thread takes place after certain in progress events wherein the viceroys are finally disposed of, and Radasanth is in a bit of turmoil. There's a power gap that needs to be filled and Octane, having a voice that can drive men into all sorts of emotions while having no special powers, decides he's what the country needs.

Now, I hate solos otherwise I'd just submit a 100 post monster that finally throws this NPC into the seat of power. However, I enjoy conflict so I need some help from you guys.

The IK has opened it up to where Corone can become a democracy, with a spiffy President elected by the people, a system of checks and balances, and all that good stuff. What I need from you guys is interest. People who wishv to enter their NPCs into the presidential race, NPCs (or heck, maybe with content staff permission, some PCs) interested in running for seats in the Congress of Corone. I'll even take some assassins to make this a bit more interesting on a combat front. Depending on how much attention this thing gets, I wouldn't mind breaking it up into multiple threads and maybe even doing this particular thread as a "People make their name known" and making it so we can have some debates, and letting the roleplayers decide which NPCs would be best suited to lead this great country of ours.

Oh this is just the type of chicanery Logan would enjoy partaking in from a "pulling the puppet strings" type of position. I'd love to participate for the whole shebang. As for NPCs, I don't have any that would be in a good position to make such a push, but from a purely behind the scenes puppet master type role, I'd love to take 2 or 3 lesser known NPCs and "help them along"... ;)

I would not like Corone to be a democracy ... well, Philomel wouldn't. Her brother Leaf, would, on the other hand, so if you will have me sir Sei I would be happy to help with a couple of fauns.

Okay, seriously, I think I could see Ashla supporting this and coming by to vote. Maybe as a P.A.L.E. member, she's secretly snooping around for unrest? I really don't know where I'd fit in, but I'm willing to join.

I feel the need to point out that in the very first post of this story, Octane has left the Knights to run for Council. Which, by the way, it is now a 5 man council so no one guy can have a decent chunk of power over all. The IK will support Octane in his run for office, and also build the center made for the meetings to be held.

Non IK,, start getting your potential candidates ready.

Are women allowed to run for candidacy? I have a good concept of an ex-whore politician if that works. If not, I have a couple of already made NPCs who are allies of Philomel who can work, all guys.
