Personality: Coppelia wears a serious and quiet mask to avoid attention. Deep down though she has a large heart and deeply cares for those who are close to her.
History:
Brythians are essentially werebeasts descended from Valkyries who posses dual souls, one of a human and the other of a swan. They are a proud race that lives in secret governed by a High Council composed of descendants of famous Valkyries. While not all families get along there has been a long alliance between the two most powerful family lines, Brynhildr and Eir. When a Brythian takes over a spot on the council, they take on the name of the Valkyrie they are tied to.
Coppelia’s family is descended from the Valkyrie Eir. Being the seventh daughter of seven seventh daughter, Coppelia was supposed to take inherent her grandmother’s position on the High Brythian Council. However when she underwent the Change, it turned out that her second soul was not that of a swan, but of a duck. To save her family from the embarrassment of having a mixed line, Coppelia fled, and has been living in hiding from other Brythians and avoiding werebeasts in general. Coppelia introduces herself as Ducky to avoid being associated with her family and past ties.
Appearance: Coppelia has short, feathered blonde hair and large blue eyes. While she is of average build her training to use a Halberd has left her arms and legs more on the muscular side.
Skills:
Quack- Coppelia can communicate with most birds on a very basic level but can understand and communicate with swans and ducks fully in her human form.
All Hail the Halberd- Coppelia is trained well in fighting with a Halberd.
Odin's Maid- Coppelia can maintain a diplomatic presence under pressure, keeping a cool and level head even when being threatened.
Abilities:
One heart, Two Souls- Coppelia can switch between her two souls and effectively transform between a being a human and a duck. In this form she can still understand common but cannot speak common. In her duck form she is able to communicate better with animals, swim with ease, and fit into small spaces.
She must switch forms at least once a week. If she does not balance between the two forms the other will grow weaker. If she goes for a month without switching forms there is a 50% chance this ability will be lost.
Flight of the Valkyries- In the heat of the fight, Coppelia can call on the ducks in the immediate vicinity to attack. The ducks disperse and flee once the opponent focuses their attacks on them.
Eir’s Blessing- If someone has acquired major wounds, Coppelia can touch them to sooth the person and slow the bleeding. This does not heal the wound but slows if not prevents the person from bleeding out.
