Alec is a tall young man with short brown hair and an even shorter beard that’s all well groomed. He has average looks, bordering on attractive with hazel eyes and fair skin. Whilst he tries to take care of his body, his build is slightly above average with toned arms but no abs to speak.

Just as all humans, especially those on earth so it seems, Alec is a complex person with his own particular emotional and mental strengths and weaknesses.
Alec finds comfort in companionship, never wanting to be alone, he values his friends and their well-being well over his own and frustrates himself with a balance of what’s good for him and what’s good for the group. In his own fantasy worlds he had always imagined himself as a paladin, but always inwardly hated his flaws. His ideals were his weaknesses and it would occasionally drive him to insanity. Alec would always want to butt in and be the “knight in shining armor”, wanting to save the day and be able to save people not only from danger but from their own inner evils. However due to his less than stellar social skills he often finds himself keeping quiet and not becoming involved, thus the source of his frustration. Alec always looks to better himself and although he can be stubborn at times, will acknowledge his mistakes and flaws and will always subconsciously work towards being a better him.
Another key ideal is that Alec values the sanctity of life. Coinciding with his ideals of putting others before him-self, often times even at his own sacrifice, Alec values all life. He gives thanks for the meat put in front of him, not only to whatever higher power had delivered him the ability or chance to eat his meal, but also to the animal which had to die in order for him to eat. He finds disgust in the mistreatment of life, and finds that killing, even something as inconsequential as a single fly, should have a good reason associated with it.
Always having been a bit of a wild card when it came to education on earth, upon his arrival to Althanas, Alec found himself enthralled with the arcane arts. Having long fantasized about the ideals of magic in his own world, he was thrilled to find himself in a world where he could cast his own magic. Having no innate magical ability of his own, he became very studious in the arcane arts, dedicating himself to the education of arcane arts in its uses, dangers, and ethics.
All around He likes to think of him-self as an easy going person whom people can confide and rely on. He desires long lasting companionship on a deep emotional level, not only romantically but just in general with any of his friends.
History:
Alec grew up in a suburb outside of Dallas and lived a rather uneventful life. There was no tragic backstory to inspire him to become a hero, he just played way too many videogames. Going through high school he became friends with Vincent Cain, both opting for the slacker route of life and not giving a damn about school. The two bonded over video games and spent all of their time online together. However, a year or so after they both had graduated Vincent fell off the grid, leaving his best friend to wonder where he had gone. After nobody would listen to him Alec decided to break into his friend’s apartment to search for clues, and there he found the Althanas rulebooks.
Confused he spent a couple of hours searching through them for any sort of clue to his whereabouts, then he found him. The lore of the game detailed several factions, and leading the Tarot Hierarchy was Vincent Cain. Astonished Alec thought that surely it was just a coincidence before the text began to glow. Sparks filled the youth’s vision, and soon he was falling.
Skills:
*Knowledge of basic wilderness survival due to his time on earth as a Boy Scout and having earned himself the rank of Eagle Scout, a highly regarded rank even among those who do not associate themselves with the boy scouts.
*Knowledge of basic combat, lacking in some areas and application. Due to his inability to practice his knowledge of combat on earth (From his short time learning martial arts) he has become a bit rusty, and is slowly re-learning how to fight not only among other humanoids but now learning to fight the inhuman.
*Knowledge of basic first-aid. Not only from his time as a boy scout but also from his time as a life guard on earth, Alec is able to handle many basic emergency situations.
Abilities:
*Adrenaline: Just like all humans beings, Alec has adrenaline in his system, allowing him to occasionally act beyond his normal limitations. Unlike other human beings, Alec has an inordinate amount of potential adrenaline in his body, allowing him to act even further above and beyond than normal. This adrenaline has capabilities of allowing him to fight for entirely twice as long as normal human beings, and doubling his endurance in his ability to run away as well. Having to rely on his adrenaline has negative effects on his body. For example, having to continue to pump adrenaline in his body longer than even what he is used to will allow him to continue fighting or running, however as soon as the adrenaline is to leave his system he will immediately feel all of the drain of his actions and efforts not just from what pushed him over his limit, but all of the actions he had felts, putting him in an overly exhausted state, in some cases leading to a black out.
*Empathic Link: Because of his intense care of life, his desire to want to help others, and his time honing and educating himself in the arts of the arcane, Alec is able to establish an empathic link with a creature or person, giving a mutual understanding of one another’s basic intentions and desires, as well as their mood and emotions towards a situation or person. An example of his usage of this link with a creature would be giving a mutual understanding of his desire to protect or help a wounded or scared animal. In usage with creatures of a more complex mentality, such as humans and other self-aware creatures, He is able to give and receive a basic understanding of how either of the two participants either towards each other or towards a situation or subject. Limitations of this power are included to the need to establish the initial link, either requiring physical contact (skin to skin) with the person or creature, or direct eye contact. Alec is also only able to use this link between himself and another person or creature; He is unable to establish an empathic link between two different people between each other.
*Manipulation of fire: (Not discovered IC yet but on the profile for clerical reasons) Alec’s first finding and experimentation in magic was to be with the raw element of fire, something which existed in his own world which allows him to already have a basic understanding of its nature. Alec is able to freely manipulate the shape and movement of a preexisting fire, only giving slight mental wear. To quantify this he is able to manipulate a preexisting fire the size of a candle for hours before becoming dizzy, but trying to manipulate a fire the size of a campfire will wear him out within a matter of minutes. Alec is currently unable to create fire from nothing, and as a fire under his control grows in size it increases the wear on his mental energy.
