As told later by detective Julia Mason during her only visit to Madame Blackwater’s home:
“The Hoodoo priestess was a good distance from what I had expected. Before me sat a woman that couldn’t have been over twenty-four at the oldest. Her long black hair nearly touched the pillows on which she sat with her legs crossed. Her red eyes gazed through my soul as they peered over a pair of semi oval glasses. On her head she wore a tattered top hat that was stitched and stapled together in some places. A faded red band that was clothes pinned together held a long ragged feather from the right side, just over a couple of gold rings that pierced the brim. She wore a plain white button up shirt under a long trench coat that was just as ragged and patched as the hat on her head. The cuffs bore a number of metal skulls that looked like some kind of studs and about her neck hung a bone necklace with a silver cross pendant. Her pants and boots matched the rest of her attire, except her boots looked like a more recent addition from their just worn in look. Her right hand sat holding a cigarette as she rested her head against the palm, her left hand sat on an ornately carved human skull that was nestled in her lap with her fingers gently tapping across the surface of the forehead.”
Personality:
Madame Blackwater is said by some to be egotistical, selfcentered, maniacal, evil and all around bad. Even though she has been known to help the needy for a price. Never without a price.

Miscellaneous:
Multiple black cats of unknown origin follow her and appear at strange times, she is unsure of where they came from, or what they really are, as their eyes tend to glow in unnatural colors. She doesn’t mind them as they don’t interfere or bother her in any other way.
Magic:
Voodoo (basic): Madame Blackwater is skilled in the art of voodoo, from making dolls with which she can heal or Harm her victims, to summoning dead spirits. At this time she cannot call forth a full undead zombie, however she has knowledge of how to create a chemically induced near death zombification through poisons, though her control of such “zombies” is slim as they are still living beings. Her skills also do not extend to full demon summoning without an extensive ritual.
Skills:
Herbal potions: she can create with the proper herbs potions that can help healing, kill, or even induce a near death “zombie” state.
Fortune telling: she can read the bones and the tarot as well as tea leaves.
Arcane Knowledge: Madame Blackwater has an extensive knowledge of the occult, ranging from spirits to rare spells. However she doesn’t have the training to perform any of what she knows of, nor does she tend to give much care about it unless it interests her at the moment.
Second sight: she can see the other side if she puts forth a little effort, though strong vibes and such still catch her senses.
Side notes:
Madame Blackwater has no real combat experience, nor does she tend to enjoy anything more than bouts of wills, cursing, and other violent vocal fights unless its like beating a ninety year old woman with a baseball bat.
History:
Born in the red light district of Radasanth, her mother was a street whore and her father some faceless client. She grew up mostly alone, befriending some of the street kids, the other unwanted children of the red light district’s residents.
When she was eight she stumbled upon a ritual happening down on the beaches, people danced and drums beat out a steady rhythm, chants called high to the spirits. She watched for moments before she realized that an old woman she knew from the streets was staring at her, deep into her soul. Yet Sera knew that the old woman was blind, yet her pale white eyes stared, transfixing Sera in her place as the old woman lifted her hand and beckoned her to join.
As if in a trance she walked forward and sat next to the old woman.
That night her life changed forever.
The old woman, known as Madame Ravenscroft took her as an apprentice. For twelve years Sera lived with the old woman, helping her and learning the secrets of Voodoo. How to make dolls, brew potions and make simple charms called Gris Gris.
However as with all, the reaper comes knocking and took Madame Ravenscroft from the world, leaving the now dubbed, Madame Blackwater in charge. For four years she filled the place of her mentor.
Till fate knocked one day. The reigning religion in Corone decided to call her out as a heretic and menace, driving her from her home and out of the country.
