Mix Darks
08-28-15, 02:02 PM
Name: Mix Darks
Nickname/Alias:* Double D-7
Age: 27
Race: Human
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 215lbs.
Occupation: Secret Agent
Personality: You've heard of the Most Interesting Man in the World, no doubt. Mix is something akin to a cross between that guy and James Bond. He is somewhere between arrogant and confident, smooth and debonaire. He rarely misses a beat to offer a witty response in conversation, even if the response were to put him into hot water. Although he is a secret agent, he has one rather large pitfall: he can't keep a secret.
History:
One day some many, many years ago, the leaders of Alerar, fearful of their sister-region Raiaera getting the drop on their massive investments into their secret technologies, elected to start an intelligence organization, now known as AIG. AIG consists of hundreds of agents, most of whom have a sole purpose of infiltrating various governments and organizations and reporting back any information they gather. There exists one famed agent who stands out among the rest for his ability to infiltrate deep into his targets, and retrieve highly valuable, ultra top-secret information. His name is Mix Darks.
Up until recently, he was the agency's top man. If they had a job too difficult for another agent, he knew he'd receive a letter via carrier pigeon shortly thereafter. Of course, the carrier pigeons always seemed to explode after he finished reading the letters, but that isn't important here. What is important is somewhere along the way, Mix developed an inability to keep secrets to himself. This proved a bit troublesome for a secret agent whose sole responsibility was to gain access to secrets and then turn around and share them with AIG.
As of this morning, the top operative found himself thrown into prison in Raiaera for attempting to steal the nation's most prized knowledge -- the location of the Tap Shards. What can save our hero, Mix Darks? Stay tuned to find out!
Appearance: He is your every man when not attending galas or parties. Nothing about him particularly stands out, which is a big part of his charm. Mix is likely to blend in with everyone else in the heat of combat, or just as easily slip away unnoticed. He has no markings such as scars or birthmarks, no special features to set him apart. He has dark brown hair, neatly trimmed into a crew cut at all times. He has the mildest of stubble growing in the form of a full beard, but it is always trimmed as well. His eyes are blue, but not the type of blue where they'd stand out in a lineup.
Skills: Rock climbing, driving exotic cars in high speed chases alongside picturesque landscapes, quick wit, sarcasm
Abilities:
Parent ability: Secret Agent Man
As a Secret Agent Man, Mix possesses several "Secret Agent" abilities.
"Blending In" -- In heated situations, Mix is able to blend into a crowd and go unnoticed, unless you happen to have a solid amount of perception or alertness. He can blend in as long as the heat remains, but if he attempts any sort of combat, his blending is revealed completely and he is once again easy to spot.
"Ooh, Shiny!" -- Years and years of Alerar research yielded some micro-mechanisms disguised as ordinary, every day objects. He is able to use these gadgets should he come into contact with them, but currently only 1 gadget is available: a pencil that doubles as a laser pointer. It cannot currently do any harm to anything or anyone. It just puts a red dot on people, up to 100 meters away.
"Oh hey, I've played that game before" -- Being in AIG meant training in significant quantities of weapon types. To this day, Mix has not found a weapon he is unable to wield with some proficiency, even firearms. This does not mean he is an expert at all weapons, or even most weapons, but he is able to pick one up and wield it sufficiently as a intermediately trained person would.
"Six ways from Sunday" -- Along with weapons training, Mix was heavily trained in hand-to-hand combat, but primarily in subduing an adversary quickly and quietly. While this isn't quite at the level of the Vulcan Death Grip, Mix is able to dispatch ordinary NPCs at or below his level, after a few minutes of combat time -- and barring any special abilities do not distract him from such. There's one small quip here that limits this to being non-stressful situations only, meaning if he is already in combat, he loses his ability to disable an opponent. He must fight them, or attempt to blend in and flee.
Equipment/Weapons: A broken Luther PPK with shoulder holster (see: below), a pen that doubles as a red laser-pointer, a steel dagger, and a black tuxedo.
Special:
Broken Luther PPK with shoulder holster (condition: broken) -- This firearm is comparable to an Earth-based Walther PPK handgun. They are pretty much one in the same. It is currently broken, which means it is unusable as a firearm. He is unable to sell this item at any point, and the only means of repair is successful completions of multiple boss battles (5) for materials, multiple quests (3) for labor and repair guidance, multiple battles (5) for testing purposes. Successful completion of each of these requires scores greater than 65 for each. Even then, the firearm still needs RoG approval, along with the purchase of ammunition from the Bazaar.
