Landen

Landen had to scratch that itch, an itch that could only be settled in a brawl. From the first time Landen had stepped a single foot in the arena at the Citadel he was hooked. The feeling wasn’t like a bar fight or anything close. In short, his addiction was found to be in an arena and not in a bottle. He wanted to learn all he could to extend his knowledge in combat. For moment, he would just stick to brawling and picking up bits and pieces as he went. He was off to the Citadel. Landen was nearly skipped on the way to sign up for a battle. In his mind he didn’t need to worry about whom his opponent was or their strength.
Landen after running so many items through his mind even if they were not really thought on heavy about he sighed only a few words, “ Eh, it doesn’t matter”. He was just going to fight and figure out life later. He was on his way down the cobble stoned alley ways. Landen kept his head on a swivel as looked both up and down, then left to right. He watched as the others moved about in a hustle to be where he or she was headed and others not so much. So then after what seemed forever walking throughout Corone just to get to place. He had finally made it to the monk. Landen without even saying a word picked up the pen and scribble his name on the dotted line. The monk, the clever being that he was with a flick of his wrist opened a portal under Landen’s feet. He feel through to his arena nearly about to scream. To say he was caught off guard was an understatement.
Landing with a thud on what was a well lite room. Landen stood a top of a wooden construct. It was a large cube or so it seemed. This large cube was built like a build with heavy and thick wooden beams. The base of the cube sat on level ground of sand and worked its way into its shape. The floor of the cube was solid built into a floor with no gaps. The walls just like top or ceiling was shaped like monkey bars. Between each beam were two inch thick pieces of wood shaped like a bar connected to a beam on each side. The gap between the bar like pieces of wood was only about eight inches, and one foot from each actual beam. Landen stepped out and stood on the smaller bars seeing if one would hold his weight and it did. However, he believed if he jumped it might break with a guy of his size.
The tall male stepped out and slipped between the bars of the top surface and dropped to the wooden floor, the drop being just under ten foot or so. Plus now that he looked around he didn’t know the name of the wood of the structure it was very pale with a lack of rich colors. Landen had now looked over nearly every inch of the arena that was quite different than what he expected now for the second time in a row. Every arena he had gotten from the monk was unique in its own way. The party boy still awaited his opponent. His brain now losing interest in the scenery, he felt a glow from above. The bright green glow of the portal that Landen was growing so fond of was active once again. It was time.
