Open thread listing!

I vaguely recall having one of these a long while ago.

If you make an open thread, one which anyone may join, you may place a link here for anyone who's looking for a fun adventure to jump in on. That way you don't need to make a recruitment thread or anything like that. You can include any information on the thread that you like, or any limitations for people looking to join (must be good, must be a mage, etc)

I do ask that if your thread becomes full or closed, you edit your post to take out the link or put a bold note that the quest is full.

This may be a great way to get your open threads noticed. Sometimes its hard to find them before they sink to the bottom of a forum!

Also, I encourage the older members to join the open quests of some of our new blood. We want to get them involved!

What a great initiative!

I am somehow not allowed post links in here (because I'm a new member or something), but look for a thread entitled "Shrewd and Subtle" in the Scara Brae forum.

It's open for... well... I don't really know. Depends on what kind of role the other RPers choose. Let's say I'd like three others, but it might as well be more. Or less, if there is no interest. :)

And yes, I know it isn't the best. English is not my native language, so bear with me; I'm sure I'll improve with time, just as I have done in previous years.

I'll edit any takers into this post.

We've been having problems with people who register just to spam and post links to crap, so my guess is that Serilliant put some sort of automatic block or something. Anyways, for those too lazy to search here's (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=3042) the link to the above-mentioned quest.

Also, the bright light blue color in text, Devin... Not the luckiest choice, especially for those who use the white background. But welcome another person to whom, like me, English isn't the native language. :)

Thanks for the link, Letho.

And about the text color: I've just viewed it with the light skin and you're right, it looks terrible. Still, it's only one line. People can just select it to read it; I'll be more careful in the future. I'll make sure main characters have neutral colors that will not conflict with any skins.

PS: Wouldn't have believed you aren't a native. Seems like I have another individual to look up to. :P

The_Black_Phoenix has an open thread here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=3120) in Scara Brae, that nobody has joined him on!

A good way to have your character meet a new friend or rival is to get in on some open quests like the one above.

Here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=3102) is another open quest in Scara Brae featuring Alearto. He could use a friend or two to quest with.

Here's (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=3086) one more, this one in the Peaceful Promenade, featuring Necrofim.

Rather than made new open threads, why not join in with someone else? :)

Thanks for the shout-out, Cyrus, ya beat me to it. This is a nice idea, I'll be sure to check in here often.

As for Alearto's quest, like I mention in the thread, I don't have any specific plans for it... So, yeah. Pop on in if your character needs something to keep him/her occupied (or just to get some experience points!).
