Scraping the previous character on this account, and starting fresh. :)

Name: An’xier Ygrainne
Nickname(s): Annie
Age: 124
Race: High Elf
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 146lbs
Occupation: (Retired?) Soldier, Innkeeper

Personality:
She is passion and flames, temper and grief. She likes fights, beer, competition, swearing, and sex. She can be crude, and she can be rude, but she is mostly honest. She sasses her way through life, because she knows that her words can be backed with her fists. In the past, she has placed duty over family, and now she has no family left.

History:
Annie was born to a cook and an innkeeper, and one half of a pair of twins born to a couple who ran a successful inn in the city of Anebrilith.

As a child, Annie was larger than most children her age, and had a temper and a streak of meanness. She had bruised her fair share of arms and noses and kneecaps and shins. Her brother, on the other hand, had always been the more sensible and demure of the two, and played a large part in reigning in Annie’s temper.

While not wealthy, their parents earned enough to send the pair off for good education. The pair learned to read, to scribe, to sing, and to wield a blade. Her brother had always been the scholar and the mage between the pair of them, while Annie had been the more physical of the two, and preferred the rush from wielding a good blade and a trusty shield. It came as little surprise to her family when Annie announced her intentions of joining the army.

Her family sent her off solemnly, and Annie joined the ranks of Tel Aglarim. She was barely over a century old. Over the next twenty years, she rose from a foot soldier to the captain of her own squad. Annie had spent close to two decades as a soldier when war came to Raiaera’s doorsteps. She was one of the many to pick up arms against the darkness.

During that bitter war against the undead and the necromancers, Annie lost friends and comrades both and carried on, but a true blow was struck against her heart when she thought she had lost her family, because Anebrilith was suddenly gone. However, the ongoing war meant she had no leave to visit the city that had replaced Anebrilith, and she could not verify that her family was truly gone. Instead, she stayed on the battlefields until the death of the Forgotten One.

The day after the death of Xem’zund, Annie applied for -- and was granted -- leave, and ran to the city of Beinost, where everything was foreign and nothing familiar. The entire city disgusted her. She found no trace of her parents, her brother, her childhood friends, and her neighbours. At that moment, the fight had gone out of Annie, and she had lost her will. She locked away her blade and shield, and handed in her armor. She resigned from her soldiering post. She staked out an area in Beinost where her home used to be, and opened an inn. Her fire burnt and her youth mostly spent, Annie sank into the role of a simple, unassuming innkeeper.

Appearance:
Annie is a hard-looking woman, made of muscles and sinews. Scars and marks of old wounds litter her limbs and torso, the largest of which spans her entire back. When not in armor, she typically dresses in a man’s style, with a simple (large) tunic, jerkins, leggings, and decent boots. She keeps her mob of white hair braided or in a ponytail.

Skills:
Expert Brawler -- Lately, Annie has been breaking up bar fights more often than she starts them.
Expert Swordswoman -- She can work with having a sword and a shield as easily as she can work with having a sword in each hand (dual-wielding).
First-Aid -- She knows how to clean and bind a wound, to apply a poultice, to cut out a buried arrow, and to splinter a broken bone.
Cook -- Annie bakes a mean bread, and she can brew a decent beer.

Abilities:
Above-Average Strength -- Annie has a surprising amount of strength for her build. She got it from lifting shields that are half as tall as she is. [2x Strength]

Above-Average Endurance -- She can still stand after taking a hit that would have fallen a lesser man. [2x Endurance]

Equipment/Weapons:
-Long Iron Sword [x1]
-Short Iron Sword [x1]
-Medium Iron Shield [x1]
