Rupert
01-16-16, 02:27 PM
Name: Rupert Covington
Age: 21
Race: Human/Ghost
Height: 5'10
Weight: 150
Occupation: Student

Personality: Rupert is, in a word, obnoxious. He speaks loudly, behaves irrationally, and drinks far too much, which only works to compound the aforementioned flaws. Though he treats individuals poorly, he is hypersensitive of how his peers as a whole view him, prompting him to throw lavish parties and show off whenever possible. He lies easily, and without thought or guilt. Though he pays little attention to other men, especially those his age, he has an rapport with the ladies. This has earned him the title womanizer - or homewrecker, depending on who you talk to. He's rude and condescending, both products of his upbringing and his own insecurities, though he would never admit to the latter.

History: Rupert is the only child of Leonardo, a wildly successful businessman, and his half-his-age trophy wife, Maria. Both parents spent the majority of their time traveling Althanas, occasionally taking their son with him, but often leaving him in Corone with a myriad of nurses and governesses. Of course, when Rupert reached the age of sixteen, they no longer bothered with his babysitters. As such, the young man spent most of his childhood surrounded only by the estate's hired help. He grew up armed with a superiority complex and a seemingly endless supply of funds. That, needless to say, was a dangerous combination. Though Rupert claimed to be attending classes at a local college, the only thing that he studied was the bottom of tankards and the backsides of women. His parties were known to be the biggest events in town, and he threw them whenever his parents were gone. It was at one of those parties that Rupert met his untimely death. Now, he is forced to roam, invisible, in a world where all he desired was attention.

Appearance: Rupert looks just as he did the night he died - black slacks, a white, long sleeved shirt with a few buttons undone, and a black vest. His dark chestnut hair is a bit long for his liking. He has large blue eyes, and big, full lips, all tools to lure in women. When he is invisible, he is invisible. But when he isn't, he looks a bit hazy around the edges, and occasionally, you can see through him. Of course, his appearance will never change, now that he's dead. He really should have gotten around to getting that hair cut.

Skills:
Proper - Being raised in a wealthy family does have its side effects. When he wants to, Rupert can stand straight, speak well, and come across as quite the well-groomed young man.
Educated - Though he gave up on learning when he reached college, Rupert can still recall much of what he was taught by his tutors. Althanian history, languages, and economics were his specialties.
Swordsman - Rupert spent quite a bit of time studying the sword arts. Not that it matters anymore, since he can't hold anything.
Charmer - He can tell anyone what they want to hear - even if it is all lies.
Equestrian - Rupert is an excellent rider. Well, was an excellent rider. When he could still ride.

Abilities:
Walk Through Walls: As Rupert is not actually a physical being, he can move through objects as if they weren't there. He can do this as often as he'd like. The downside? He cannot actually pick up, or otherwise interact with, anything (excluding talking to people - he can still do that). He cannot wield a weapon, he cannot touch a woman, and he can't even button his shirt back up. How embarrassing.

Disappear: Rupert has the ability to turn invisible. He can remain invisible for as long as he'd like, but being a newcomer to the ghost realm means that he's not very good at it. At present, Rupert struggles to remain invisible for more than three minutes at a time. He can turn invisible as often as he'd like, and there are no ill-side effects. As mentioned above, when he is not invisible, he appears as a slightly opaque, slightly hazy image of his former self.

And Fly: Like any good ghost, Rupert possesses the ability to fly. Like his invisibility, he's pretty terrible at it. He can fly as often as he'd like, but as a newbie, he fights to stay in the air for more than a couple of minutes. Good thing it doesn't actually hurt when he falls.

(I know that there will be changes - hit me with them! I'm excited for this character.)

I mean...none of the abilities effect other players right now. Obviously you can't enter the citadel, but I see no reason to actually limit these abilities. As long as you're keeping true to the "no interaction but talking" we shouldn't have an issue.

(Moderators note, I was contacted by this person because this is an alt account and we discussed this profile a bit before it was posted.)
