Hey all!

As a pet project, I've decided to register Althanas with a few website directories in hopes of spreading our name and picking up a few new members.

With these sites, votes increase our rankings. Everyone can vote once a day on each site. The higher our ranking, the more people who see us.

I've seen how these sites really can increase a site's popularity, and I feel that even one new member as a result would be a victory.

Voted, bookmarked. Checked out a couple "top" sites, and it's pretty clear that votes are not exactly linearly related to quality. Good God.

I'm sure they're still really great communities to be a part of. And everyone starts somewhere! Sites like that were what introduced me to writing.

I tried to vote there today (I voted there yesterday) and got the message that you are only allowed to vote once per 168 hours.

That's really odd. I haven't had any errors yet, and I know my votes have been counting (I can see when votes come in through the admin panel on the site). Good thing to keep an eye on though!
