Name: Luna
Age: 76
Race: Akashiman/Elf
Height: 5'-2”
Weight: 95 Lbs
Occupation: Sailor/Mercenary
Personality: Quiet and reserved, yet also smiling and bubbly. The side of Luna you see all depends onwhere and when you meet her. When traveling alone, she's serene and subtle. With a group, she can often be found laughing and drinking with the best of them. She is very loyal to the coin and contract she signs, so a friend one day could easily become an enemy the next. Luna has been around the block enough times that the constantly sliding scale of friends and enemies no longer bothers her.
Appearance: Luna is a cute girl (http://i.imgur.com/y8F5hSB.jpg), as most elves are. She also has the exotic regal nature of the Akashiman warriors. Bundled together with the best parts of both halves, in slightly smaller amounts, you have Luna. Short, thin, and entirely unimposing, the half-breed has long, blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. Her outfit is both simple and alluring with essentially aleather brassiere covered with Akashiman silk to expose her tightmidriff before covering her hips with a matching patterned silkskirt. Long thigh high stockings protect her legs from the elements and sensible shoes for the occasion are ever-present on her feet.
History:
Gentle waves lapped against the sturdyhull of the moored sailing vessel. The rocking of the boat and thegentle swaying were soothing to the figure lying exhausted inbirthing. As brilliant sapphire eyes grew heavier and heavier, she couldn't help but smile. This was where she belonged. She shifted inher rack and turned to her side, pulling the heavy wool blanket justa little tighter. Yes, this was certainly where she was meant to be.
Weary lids finally brought peaceful slumber to the aquatic mercenary as she did her best to ignore the unfortunately lingering scent of freshly spilt blood. Yes, it was her fault that the blood had gotten everywhere, but she had been drunk at the time! Drunken Luna wasn't as clean as sober Luna when it came to fighting off boarders. Blood was also notoriously hard to get out ofher silken garments, so she had brought them to the nearby cleaner's to get worked on overnight. Clad in sleepwear now, which surprisingly covered more of her body than her typical outfit, her nose wrinkled one last time before finally slipping into a well-deserved rest.
As the small ship rocked with the waves and tide, the sleeping sailor refused to stir. She was going to takeher full rest and she was going to take it now if it killed her! Well, maybe not literally. One of her eyes slivered open to the sight of a single shadow skulking about. Had she missed one? The crew that she had brutally massacred earlier that day hadn't quite been all present when she defended the ship. Intelligence suggested one or two might still be lurking about, but she was tired and he wasn't-wait, never mind. The idiot was actually walking closer. It took everything she had to suppress the sigh building up inside her as she shot out of her rack and moved.
The poor grunt never knew what hit him. Luna herself wasn't quite sure what it was either. Some sort of ornamental piece of treasure that she was guarding or something. The thing was already dusty and dinged up, so cleaning a dab more blood wouldn't be too hard, right? The sigh finally found its way through her lips as she straightened up from where she had whacked the poor mook across the head.
“Oye, got one more piece of gullfodder down 'ere for ya ta take away!”
Crude, but it carried, and that's all that mattered. Setting the ornamental beat-stick back where she foundit, she crawled back to her hammock and pulled her blanket back up toher cheeks. The cool of the sea crept through the strong wooden beams and brushed against her nose, making her sneeze in a rather ladylike manner. The snotty snuffle that followed, however, wasn't. As she drifted back to sleep, hopefully for real this time, her dreams were filled with coins jumping a fence and into a purse. Her purse.
Skills:
Acrobatics – Luna is more adept at moving across a ship than the average landlubber. When it comes to climbing rigging or keeping her footing in the roughest seas, she has an easier time than most.
Alertness – Always sleep with one eye open. Sleep light or die. If there's a reason she needs to sleep light, she will.
Dodging – As a small, thin waif of a woman, she can't take hits too well, so she does her best to avoid that.
Seafaring – A sailor that can't sail isn't a sailor.
Swashbuckling – A sailor that can'tfight while drunk isn't worthy to be called a sailor, either.
Swordsmanship – Luna has used her sword all her life and is quite proficient in its use and care. Her current blade was given to her on her fiftieth birthday.
Unarmed/Improvised Combat – Sometimes, you just don't have access to your main weapon. In a pinch, she can pick up a club-like weapon or bottle and defend herself.
Whittling – Sailing can get boring sometimes. If you don't have a hobby, it's easy to go mad.
Abilities:
Flowmotion (minor) – Luna is capable of moving fluidly on the ground, in the air, and on the water, using her environment effectively to attack form unusual angles. If more extreme measures are required, she can call on herspirit magic. Calling on the wind spirit in her tattoo grants Luna atime-limited form of omni-motion. For four posts, the effects ofgravity on her are halved. She can solidify the air beneath her feetmomentarily, allowing her to kick off the air and change direction ordouble-jump. She can only do this once after leaving the ground andmust land before readying another double-jump. Once the effect wears off, her tattoo becomes inert for two hours and she is incapable of utilizing the spirit's power for the duration.
Triple Speed (moderate) –Luna's agility has earned somewhat of a reputation on its own. She is quick and flexible, comparable to an Olympic gymnast and track runner for flexibility and speed. She can balance on rolling logs withlittle concentration and run across bamboo posts effectively. On herown, she is capable of running near 24 miles per hour, or 35 feet persecond.
