As we celebrate our totally awesome member base, I wanted to create a thread to show off how much we've all grown.

Post a picture of yourself from the time you joined, and a picture of you now!

You could also post a writing sample from when you joined, and compare it to something you've written more recently.

Let's see how we've all aged (whether or not we've matured is still up for debate).

I also went back and looked at my first posts to compare them to what I write now, and didn't see much of a difference. Which, personally, I find terrifying.

First Post Ever

"Sorish, I think the water is getting kind of shallow." Roxi thought to Sorish. It's been three days since Sorish had become an adult and five since he met Roxi.
"I'd have to agree," Sorish thought back as he noticed that he was actually able to see some clouds. "I think we are getting close to land."
"Well let's hurry up and get there so that we can start exploring." Roxi thought. As Sorish walked he started to emerge from the water. First to hit the air was his 3' Coralian Crown, then his head, then his eyes and mouth but as soon as his gills touched the air he stopped. He couldn't breath. Sorish stepped back a few paces to get his gills submerged then thought to Roxi, "Roxi, can you get me that Coralian Water Magic Book for me. I think I'm going to need a spell."
"Sure Sorish," She thought as she streched herself out from his neck and rapped herself around a book in his bag and gave it to him.
He opened up the book. Now where is that spell, he thought turning through the pages. most of them blank.
"I believe its the last page." Roxi said as she looked over his shoulder.
"Ah here it is, the Breathing Bubbles Spell." He thought as he held up the book to read.

"Ok," Sorish said out loud giving Roxi the book to hold in front of him, "now its time to position my hands and voice the spell." Sorish put his hands over his gills, stepped forward until his gills were out of the water, then quickly said, "Slos O, Slos O, son no mi shin Slos O." which means, "Breathing Bubbles, Breathing Bubbles, come to me oh Breathing Bubbles." Suddenly his gills was surrounded by water so he could breath.

The man that opened the door was about average sized. Probably about five foot eight inches and about 160 pounds. He was shirtless with a decent amount of muscle. His bronze skin rippled with every move he made. His brown wavy hair reached his shoulders. He had a scowl on his face when he first opened the door he had a scowl on his face. However, as soon as Grond stepped aside to reveal the children behind him, the man’s scowl turned to one of understanding and invited them in. He drew a bath for the kids using a water screw that was common in the Hope cities. The water was warmed by a boiler in the basement.

“Where you guys from stranger?” he asked in a deep voice. When there was no reply he turned towards ground who had his gloved his hand towards his throat to indicate he couldn’t speak.

The man nodded and said, “yes and no questions it is then.” He then went into deep thought. “Are you from an area near here?”

Grond nodded yes.

“You are from south of us right?” the man guessed.

Again Grond nodded.

The man thought again “It’s not Gerca that is south west of us. Fom?”

Grond nodded when he said Fom.

“Ah Fom, I hear rumors that some creatures were biting people in the night. Is that rumor true?” the man asked with a hint of concern. As Grond was about to reply one of the children, a ten year old boy with brown hair and green eyes, entered the room.

“It is t-true sir,” the boy said with a quiver in his voice. “We... we are the last survivors of Fom. Th-this man inscribed a sp-special mark on us and the m-monsters left us alone. But he couldn’t h-help the rest of our f-f-family. He has been helping us since.” The boy turned to Grond, “Please mister, please mark this man. He is being so kind to us. Please mark him to protect him.” The boy broke down then and there and started o cry.

Grond looked over towards the man as the man took everything in. He turned towards Grond. “I have a family, they should be helping the other kids, will you be willing to help them too?”

Grond nodded then motioned him out of the room then pointed to the child then at the tub. The child got the message and sniffled as he started to strip to get into the tub. The man closed the door as soon as they were out.

No, not quite. My playing weight was about 225 lbs. These days I go about 175. Vegas is also the world's largest sausage party, so even were I single, no double barrel finger shooting.
