Anyone put much thought into whether or not they'll be competing this year? I know it's not officially been announced yet but worth polling opinion anyway.

Got some good writers back with us this year and can see the LCC being a big one!

If I'm not involved with helping administrate (namely judging) the LCC, then I'll most likely be involved as a participant. But yes, it looks to be quite a fun LCC indeed.

Let's add to the hype. What pairings would you like to see, and who would you like to see those teams go against?

I believe Maddy has been retired (so Andy says) so I'd be hyped for a Redford / Hawl vs Karuka / Veritas matchup. However, purely selfishly, I want me and Gnarl to get Karuka and Storm. What a fight that will be. I'd also love a crack at Dirks and Tobias given the chance, and Cards / redford.

I'm also hoping Revenant and Izvilvin participate, as well as Flames of Hyperion. Any matches with them in will be well worth a watch.

One thing you can all count on is that me and Gnarl will be looking forward to it.

Skie/Seth is the team I'm hoping for. I'd love to reprise Otto/Erirag too (especially since this year I'm not slated to go into labor halfway through a round and all) if Otto'd be willing. I think that our characters would have a more complicated relationship this year that could make for really interesting inner combat in the midst of the outer. :D

To be fair to Dirks, he did complete a thread in a tournament under timed rules. That thread was with me, in the AC, as the guest group that round.

With that said, I don't give any hope for the two of them to complete a thread within the 2 week time limit. They might get to 5 posts. Maybe.

As Storm said, there are no weak teams in that lineup. Me and Gnarl are confident in our writing but by god we have a mountain to climb to progress, and that's before the first round draw!

JC's aren't everything. In fact, they'd probably count for nothing in this case. Odds would likely be decided on a buttload of different criteria, like the posting speed of the duo, the average quality of each poster in a battle situation, the scenarios they find themselves in within the battle and their ability to react to and interact with it... Just to name a few.
