Had a bit of time with mrs tonight, and whilst we were sat playing cards we put on an old school playlist on Youtube. First five songs that came up:
1. OPM - Heaven is a Halfpipe
2. Offspring - Want you bad
3. Sum 41 - Fat Lip
4. Green Day - Basket Case
5. System of a Down - Chop Suey
Then to top it all off: Metallica - I disappear
Takes me back
Anyone else have any tunes that take you back?

1. Corey Hart - Never Surrender
2. Phil Collins - Can't Stop Loving You; Against All Odds
3. Toto - I Will Remember
My parents bought a set of 80's Hits CDs which, for a long time, were the only music in the house. I grew up on the ballads.
4. RAMAR - Wild Flowers
5. DEEN - Kimi sae ireba
6. Kazumasa Oda - Sayonara; Kotoba ni dekinai
Some of the first music I bought of my own accord. Still on my commute playlist!

Phil Collins! I love "In the air tonight". Absolute tune.

One of my first memories are of sitting in my dad's truck and listening to "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner.
In high school I listened to a lot of Metallica, radio metal, punk, and classic rock. In 2002 I stumbled across Rise Against and listened to them a LOT, and Shyam here on Althanas got me into Bad Religion.
But there's one song I listened to my senior year that always makes me feel like a high schooler driving my little pickup around again.

3. Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends
4. All American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret

6. 50 Cent - Candy Shop
7. Black Eyed Peas - My Humps
8. Gwen Stefani - Rich Girl

10. Sean Paul - We Be Burning
11. Sean Paul - Temperature
12. Daniel Powter - Bad Day
13. Hinder - Lips of an Angel
14. T-Pain - I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)
15. D4L - Laffy Taffy
16. Akon feat. Eminem - Smack That

I find myself increasing drawn back to the Top Gun and Rocky series soundtracks.
Also Journey.
And Tears for Fears.

I tip my hat to you all: some very good taste in music here. Skie with Metallica and Bad Religeon, Ray with a bit of Green Day!
When I saw Storm post the words "Led" and "Zeppelin" it made me so happy. They were on pretty much every playlist I ever did in my twenties. I wasn't expecting them to get an airing on this thread!
When the Levee Breaks, Misty Mountain Hop, Kashmir, Stairway and Black Dog were my favourites!
Revenant - fun fact. I serenaded the wife with the Goose / Maverick version of "You've lost that loving feeling" by the Righteous Brothers at our wedding (see attached, i'm wearing the aviators). We were hooked on Top Gun (proper man film) so I thought i'd do something a bit mental. But like you I adhere to Kenny Loggins. And, admittedly, the Rocky IV soundtrack (Heart's on fire - come on baby).

Too many to mention, but I will add anything from the Tony Hawks 2 sound track.

I was way into Evanescence in college, and the LOTR and Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks fueled all my high school homework. Boring Michelle is boring.

Why is that boring? I listened to all that stuff.

And, admittedly, the Rocky IV soundtrack (Heart's on fire - come on baby).
I used the Rocky soundtrack as motivational music to run my fastest 5k ever last year!
(And yes, any Zeppelin is perfect relaxing/drinking music. All of the classic rock from that era - from LZ to the Doors, Pink Floyd, later Beatles, the Who... I'm a huge sucker for it all)
I used to use the "win" training music from Rocky II when doing workshops, with the full rubric.

Hearts on Fire is my "push that last bit" workout song.

You now have my full attention.
Floyd are perhaps, next to Zep, one of my favourite all time bands. My personal favorite song is Shine on you Crazy Diamond (parts 1 and 2) followed closely by Wish you were here, Marooned (it's an instrumental but a good one) and High Hopes.
I can absolutely recommend The Division Bell and Wish you were here, other than Dark Side of the Moon, as the two standout Floyd albums. That does generally fly in the face of general opinion as Dark Side is probably the more lauded but the range on these albums is immense.

Ok, so I got bored and put everyone's stuff into a playlist.
Feel free to listen to it and get to know your fellow Althanians just a little bit more.
