I'm playing! I'm team Instinct, almost level 12.

Western and central Michigan has loads and loads of poison types. That's pretty much all I have right now.

As for data, I've been playing almost non-stop since the game came out, and Pokemon Go has only used 90 MB. It's not nearly as bad as I had expected.

FUCK YEAH TEAM INSTINCT!

I've been out and about a lot becuase of it. My first egg was a 10K egg so Im 8 kilometers in on the fucker. Im waiting till I get a much higher level to pump anything into my pokebros. Texas is weird, we have the usual birbs and rats, but Im seeing a bunch of venonats and eggdudes.

Unfortunately apparently there's a bug with team instinct trying to cap a gym, so its fucking hard to get to hold any ground.

i relate dude. not gonna lie, me and my friend back in the day were the oldest people in the cinema for the release of the pokemon movie (other than parents who were with their kids lol).

i had a friend today test that, he went out on jordan lake here in nc, actually out on the water in his canoe. he said he didn't find any pokemon.

the battle system is woefully lacking.
it is, but the gym defence system is honestly really hype. the idea that i can have a pokemon stationed at a gym and anybody who wants to take that gym has to beat my boss ass pokemon. but it's definitely not anything like a traditional pokemon battle experience :<

i've been seeing SO MANY people out and about playing this game though. groups of people at gyms and pokestops. it's crazy. there are a lot of people on tumblr talking about how it's really helping with their depression to get out of the house and into the real world. which i believe because you know vitamin d and all that, exercise, fresh air, etc. but i am a little bit worried about people walking off bridges or getting hit by cars and stuff playing this game. overall, i think augmented reality games like this that get people out of the house are really cool and a mega positive influence on people.

btwz, i totally picked team mystic/blue. but i'm an evertonian (everton play in blue) so it was a decision already kinda made for me.

so any of you high level people captured and defended a gym yet? ;D the pokemon holding my nearest gym are all over 500cp and my best is only 100+cp :< :< :<

I'm holding two gyms right now. I'm sure they'll be taken as soon as these college kids wake up. But I have them. The most I've held at once was six.

The eeveelutions don't take much to level. A 200 CP eevee can net you a near 900 evolution. I'm more impressed by the 1000+ other Pokemon. My highest Pokemon are right around 800.

So, I made level 13 in a day. I capped a gym at a Zoo and all the kids there tried to beat me. Seems I made a lot of youngsters quite angry. I also have a badge for 325 gym battles.

I don't go around catching them, I really only go when I pick my brother up from work, I drive and catch them at stop signs and traffic lights! Trying to get me pidgyotto to pidgeot! Then I'll be getting his CP up (he's currently a sad 99CP)

My current top CPs. Slowbro was a straight catch, right after my first slowpoke.

One tip, don't level 'mon until they are in their final evolution and you like their move set.

Also, see that 704 golbat? I caught it at that level. I wasted powering up the one next to it :(

Edit: I haven't tested the lucky egg yet, I assume the best way to use it would be to wait until you have heaps of extra candy and evolve a bunch of pokemon. I have crap load of Doduo near where I live, and ratata and zubat around my work. Getting a lot of candy for them can help evolve up.

I can only play through Wifi, but in three days I've reached leve 5 and have a Snorlax (Sleepy) (176), Nidoran(f) (96), Oddish (79), Pidgeotto (78), Zubat (70), Eevee (61), Charmander (Flare) (52), Rattata (50), Kakuna (47), Spearow (46), Venonat (42), & a Nidoran(m) (32).

15 at that time, just hit 16.

My highest level Pinsar couldn't power up until I leveled, although I caught one that is 800cp (damn you wasted dust!). I keep running out of pokeballs... my home is actually pretty fertile for pokemon, so I can catch heaps when I'm bumming around (it's where I caught my Magmar and Slowbro). Downside is that I burn through the balls I've collected and run out. I've stopped trying to catch Zubats because they take too many balls (something is up with my long throw, it stuffs up, or becomes a curve ball).

So if any of you want to help me research, please do. I have a feeling that XS pokemon are faster. I imagine double XS would be the fastest. I don't know if XL is slower or perhaps has higher damage. I'm curious as to if you can have an XS and XL pokemon by weight and height. I have some double XL pokemon but I haven't had time to test. I want to compare them to like for like pokemon of normal size too.

yeah honestly there's a part of me that wondered if xl was extra life and xs was extra speed. but i'm just curious if that's what they are. all my "fast" pokemon that i have an xs so i wasn't sure if that was coincidence.

XL weight seems to be disproved as adding HP, there are cases of the same pokemon having the same, or less health with the XL tag. I thought speed perhaps too. No idea how to test that.

I have a pokemon with xs weight and xl height. It's possible that one might be speed, the other health, but not sure.

More frustrating is that it changes with evolution. It seems the values are re-rolled.

Edit: I'm super jelly of your hypnos Ray. I've seen a drowzee's outline (and areodactyl for that matter) but haven't had the chance to catch one.
