What are some tips you could give on writing horror?

If you could change one thing in the world of Althanas, what would it be and why?

For instance, restore the tap. Make all dwarves suddenly vanish. Create a new continent. Rip a portal open to Haidia (Demon realm?). Have you character be able to summon pizza whenever they wanted?
