History:

Childhood:

Vitae was raised in a temple up In the mountains of Salvar by a group of magi known as the Uliratha. This group was small, comprised of six mages, each specialising in a different form of magic. Fire, Ice, Light, Darkness, Nature, Arcane. The fire magus was known as Exodus, he could create flames as hot as the suns and as large as the clouds, he was warm, wise and caring. The nature magus was Goro, he could bend the wind and the earth as he pleased and had a great connection with all things living, he was patient, kind, and understanding. The light magus was Levi, he could control the power of light in the form of fearsome bolts or piercing beams that easily repelled creatures of wicked origins, as well as excelling at mending wounds once thought to be dire, he was hard and steadfast, but good willed. The arcane magus was Cronus, he could do all sorts of things, from teleporting short distances to turning back time itself, he was funny, happy-go-lucky, but somewhat too carefree. The ice magus was Thal, he could create great fortresses of ice, create fearsome blizzards, and even turn flames into icicles, he was distant and hardy, but very sweet. And finally the Darkness magus Xul, he was probably the greatest of them all, able to take away the senses, turn stone to rubble, fire to ash, ice to water, vanish into nothing and create grand illusions, he was cleaver, witty and always eager to help.

Each of the magus were skilled in each others magic but only they individually excelled at a single magic, and Vitae was told it would be the same for him and he'd eventually have to choose. These magi lived in secret for the most part, abandoning their old identity and lives to pursue magical enlightenment. They were monks in a way, steering clear of worldly pleasure like alcohol, money, gluttony, sex, etc. and raised Vitae the same way. Whenever Vitae asked about his past the monks simply told him that they found him at their doorstep, as strange as it was for someone to come all the way to the mountains to leave their child in the freezing wind, and that it was a miracle he survived. Due to the circumstances of their meeting they named him the Latin word for Life, as he must have had much of it to survive in the storm, Salvador followed after the magi discovered his talent. Cronus, Goro, and Xul, preferred to call Vitae, Vato, as a sort of cutesy nickname that ended up sticking with him.

He didn't know where he came from, or why he was at the temple at the time, but he was always being told what to do and how to do it, always being re-asserted that there was a reason to everything, and that he would be called upon when the world needed him. He was brought up on a vegan diet and was taught to respect all living things, his days mostly comprised of study and meditation, eating only twice a day. The magi taught him about mana and the importance of balance in the earth, he was sceptical about evil but the magi told him that even evil was necessary as long as it was in balance with virtue.

Teenage years: When Vitae reached his teen years, it was much more difficult for the magi to raise him, as he began to question everything around him. It wasn't in anger or frustration but curiosity and inquisition. He wanted answers, and he wasn't getting very many at the temple that he actually wanted. Of course the magi had seen an event like this coming, and had no choice but to let it play its course. Each of the magi had taught him an important lesson however Goro in particular introduced him to the magic of familiars. It was in on a typical winters night in Salvar that a shooting star fell from the sky, piercing the clouds and then, the roof of their temple. What was though to be a comet of some kind turned out to be an egg, a dragons egg. Goro saw this as a sign and taught Vitae about how to raise familiars and command them, Exodus was very knowledgeable about dragons and helped to take care of the egg and taught vitae about the nature of dragons. When the egg hatched, Vitae instantly formed a bond like nothing he had ever known before, he was able to hear what the baby dragon was thinking and it was able to hear what he thought too. Vitae asked why he was sent here and all he replied with at the time was "Azoth", not sure what he meant he assumed that's what the dragons name was, but eventually found out that the dragon meant 'Oath', and that the dragon had an oath to protect Vitae and grow with him.

Vitae eventually left the temple with what he learnt and a grimoirie at age 17, eager to also finally put what he had read and learnt into practice since he wasn't allowed to use magic in the temple. Vitae faced a difficult first year on his own, and was even tempted to break his virtue and eat meat, anything that was readily available to him. However he kept in mind his teachers and what they would tell him, and ended up feeding all meat to Azoth. Although he didn't fully understand, he knew they had what was best for him in mind. They magi wouldn't have chosen to live the life the way they did if they didn't all come to the same conclusions, and they were all enlightened and powerful men. Luckily for Vitae, he was gifted. His Aloidian background keeping him alive and healthy while he struggled to do much of anything. Salvar was an icy wasteland, and he had to learn the hard way what it was like for street rats, but at the very least having his magi robes to keep him warm.

...To be continued (In a sorts of prologue roleplay)

Racial background: Aloidia are not particularly a race, but a form of celestial spirit. They differ from most spirits as they do not need to latch onto physical beings to come into life, but rather they are shaped into physical beings by a higher power. Not much is known about the Aloidia apart from their history of writing wrongs and changing history, for better or worse. Most Aloidia are not aware of their heritage and sometimes lose their way, when this happens they are allowed to live their lives normally, but the thing they were sent to change will be lost on them. It is not clear as to what the purpose is, some say it's a divine plan, others say its a load of bull, but the fact remains they exist like most people, not knowing why.

Personality:

Vitae Salvador is a virtuous person, trying to do whatever he thinks is right. He's a monk in most senses though he doesn't fully understand the reasoning behind all of the magi teachings. Vitae posses a great curiosity, as he feels the more he learns, the more questions need answering. He's very sensitive to the wellbeing of natural life and treats all living things with great respect and love. He posses most of the qualities his masters had, being wise, caring, patient, understanding, good willed, cleaver, has a good sense of humour, is always eager to help, and is very sweet. When faced with adversity he is steadfast, and when dealing with strife he is hardy. He knows when to be carefree and when its the time to get serious, and is always thirsty for knowledge.

Appearance: Vitae is a tall young man, he has deep electric blue eyes and charcoal black hair. He's on the skinny side but isn't lacking in muscle too much as he had to do a bit of lifting around the temple. He has wide shoulders and a broad chest, his face is an oval shape and has defined cheekbones. His hands are lightly worn from his gardening but the rest of his body is still pristine and unworn. The monks always kept hygienic and clean, making sure to take regular ceremonial cleansing baths every few days (Alone). His body is toned but he's not particularly fit either. He usually wears his magi robes which is a blue hooded cloak over light cloth material. Also has some slight stubble growing that he usually keeps shaven. He has a grimoire he keeps by his side under his cloak at all times and an oak wand his masters crafted tucked under the cloak for emergency casting. His main weapon being his willow staff he made himself which he has a spiritual connection to, this is used to channel his power and enhance it further with wild energy, making his magic very potent and dangerous.

Skills:

Arcane Affinity- Vitae is used to being around magic and thus picks up magic quicker than most. His Aloidia background also giving him an edge in the power behind his magic.

Scholar- Vitae is a book worm and a scholar, most of his time spent at the temple was reading books rather than putting what he learnt into practice. Therefore his knowledge base about things such as but not limited to, magic, lore, and history; are considerably higher than most.

Multilingualism: Vitae has studied many languages including Elvish, Human, Draconian, Dark Elven, Dwarfish, Tradespeak, Fae, Orcish, Merefolk, and some other somewhat dead dialects. This was forced upon him rather than taken on free will, and was told that it was necessary for him to know.

Aloidia- Being of Aloidian decent, Vitae is able to communicate with nature and spirits in a unique way closely resembling telepathy, this does not make him a mind reader as Vitae must formally establish a connection with the spirit or animal he is trying to communicate with. He also doesn't need to eat as often, as mana is a sort of sustenance.

The Triangle- Vitae was made to master the triangle. Not because he had to. But because the magi wanted someone to play it while they meditated.

Gardening- As self sufficient vegans, Vitae learnt how to nurture plants and grow them for food and also for reagents used for the magi's alchemy.

Sewing- Since the magi lived in the mountains, they were often short on clothes and blankets. Vitae taught himself how to sew so he could give the magi clothes and blankets as gifts.

Abilities:

Ice mastery Lv1:

Minor ice bolt: Vitae may use the incantation "Duratus" to fire a bolt of ice at a target. When the bolt hits something the ice spreads and freezes over whatever it hit. This binding is rather weak and can be broken with brute strength alone, however it can hold weaker targets effectively still. This will prevent movement of weak characters for one post and allows for an easier target on the next attack on that target. Is not typically harmful unless the target is susceptible to ice or the cold. Range: 6 Yards. Usage: Up to twice per post.

Fire mastery Lv1:

Minor fireball: Vitae can use the incantation "Incendio" to hurl a fast moving small ball of fire towards a targets direction or create a small puff of fire at a target location. This spell is good for starting larger wild fires, but does not do much damage on its own, creating 1st degree burns at worse. Will not have an effect if the area hit was frozen (must hit at a different location to do damage, e.g at the torso if the legs are frozen). Range: 5 Yards. Usage: Once per post.

Light mastery L1:

Heal scrapes: Vitae can heal minor wounds such as scrapes and bruises. Requires simple incantation "Curare". Heal scrapes can also be used to treat minor ailments such as headaches or the common cold. Heal scrapes may be used on one person at a time, but can be used on anyone chosen. Range: Touching distance. Usage: Once per post

Equipment/Weapons: A willow staff, robes, a Grimoire, and an oak wood wand.

Familiars: A baby dragon named Azoth (meaning Oath in Aloidian). This dragon is said to take on the magical qualities of its master, meaning a master excelling in fire will lead Azoth to grow into a mighty fire dragon. Azoth is an opal dragon, symbolising the diversity of his masters talent currently. Azoth can assist Vitae by casting any one of his spells in addition to any other spell Vitae chooses to cast, e.g if Vitae casts minor fireball and is hurt, Azoth can use heal scrapes on him. However Azoth can only assist once per post. (Familiar ability locked until level 2)

Hello and welcome to the site! I really like your profile thus far, but unfortunately we have a few issues off the bat. Luckily, they're pretty easy fixes and shouldn't be too much of a nerf. Being able to chain the freezing spell into another spell isn't something we really allow. To me it reads like an auto hit, and we frown on that unfortunately. If you could rephrase that to something like "If someone is under the effects of the freezing trap it makes it easier to land another spell." Or something along those lines. Also, you're familliar being able to cast spells along side you is counted as an ability, and puts you at a total of four when we only allow three at level one. If you would like to keep that feature of your familiar, you might need to drop a spell, or you can just "Lock" that ability by putting it in a quote box and add it in at level two.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me and ask! I always try to make myself as available as possible.

Merry (late) christmas, Fred.

Thank you for your feedback, I will keep it locked as suggested.

For the ice spell it was put that "If they would be effected by freezing effect" Though I suppose that isn't up to me to decide. I'll just remove that part :)
