Hey, you. Yes, you. Guess what time it is?
It's time to get sexy.
http://static3.businessinsider.com/image/51b24770ecad04fe36000008/lunapic_137063802641497_2.gif
WHAT
This is an exercise challenge.
We won't be weighing in, tallying team points, or any of that Biggest Loser junk.
No, this is all about getting that hot bod of yours up and moving.
Keep track of how many minutes you are exercising.
We will work together to reach 100,000 minutes in 2017.
But it better be deliberate exercise. None of this "5 minutes of walking to the fridge" garbage.
So get lifting, bro. Or running. Or doing whatever else you cuties do to get that heart rate up.
HOW
It's pretty easy (just like Max Dirks).
Post here to say you're joining up.
Then, there will be a spreadsheet that you can post your minutes to.
It will tally everyone's up, no maths required on your part!
See, did I not tell you it would be easy? I'd never lie to you, baby.
We'll also add each other on Myfitnesspal, so we can keep track of how sexy we're all getting.
(MFP isn't required, but it's hella helpful.)
What do you do when you're not working on your fitness?
You can talk about working on your fitness here too.
And I'll even post occasional challenges to keep things fresh.
You're in control, but remember, you only get out of it what you put in.
So no slacking.
WHY
Because you're worth it.
WHEN
Any time in 2017!
But you better not log before that.
No one likes premature logging.

SPREADSHEET
Click here. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1npF1cwWmH0Nfs4GZrY0RWg4iTSixbnNiAwzDeRRyHfM/edit?usp=sharing)
Add your minutes in one of the dark green boxes only.
You may use the daily spaces, or post all of your minutes in one cell - your choice.
Do not be surprised if the total next to your name, and the overall total counter, don't change right away.
Your most recent additions will appear in the "to be added" column.
Every few days, I will add those minutes to the overall total.
This is to ensure that no one accidentally deletes our progress.
You can also message me (PM, Facebook, text, whathaveyou) your minutes, and I will add them to the spreadsheet.

I also chased my cat away from a roast chicken.
It's been a slow day.

Shin, I gained like 35 lbs with the birth of my first kid; I got so heavy because she slept terrible and I used food/sugar to propel myself forward in times of unbelievable exhaustion. I actually got up to my football playing weight, only instead of strong and ferocious I was a goddamned marshmallow.
Pro-tips:
- You won't survive without caffeine, so switch to black coffee NOW if you haven't already (or sugar-free energy drinks).
- Carbs are the enemy. Remind yourself at all times that carbs never make you feel more full and essentially all boil down to just being a pixie stick.
Vaya con dios.

I'm putting up a lot of minutes right now because I'm especially motivated. I'm in a fitbit challenge with other teachers at work. I'm also doing a challenge with my family where we have to put up 2017 miles of walking/jogging in 2017. We split it 4 ways, but that's still a couple of miles a day. :)

I add them to your official total and remove them from the calendar every couple of days. I set the system up so that if someone accidentally deletes all of our numbers, the most they can do is a couple day's worth - I save our numbers to our "official" total as we go, and those are locked in to certain cells that only I can edit.
Couldn't think of a better way.

Alright. Started training today so that I can rock officer training in the Air Force. A new pair of shoes have been secured. Slow start, but here are the initials.
50 minutes today. Ran about 3.5-4 miles probably. The first 1.5 miles in 14.5 minutes. That is the mark I gotta cut down.

Update:
Everything should be up to date. We are very close to our first 5000 mark, which is really exciting.
Two things to remember:
1) If you can enter your own minutes into the spreadsheet, please do so. It would be a huge help to me. I did this as a fun side project, but it actually takes considerable time to add up everyone's minutes by myself - the spreadsheet would do it for me. There is a link to the sheet in the second post, and it works on mobile and on the computer. If you absolutely cannot access the sheet yourself, that's fine, but it would be great if you all would at least give it a try.
2) Be sure to post your minutes of exercise, rather than your routine or your miles. You're more than welcome to post those as well, but we are logging minutes, and if you don't note them, I have to take my best guess at how long it took you.
Thanks!

I'll join in. Now that I can move properly again (pregnancy really slowed me down), I want to get working. Before pregnancy I was working on dropping in the neighborhood of 40lbs. Pregnancy helped with that a lot (baby growing "ate" 10lbs of flub in the first 2-3 months :D ). Now that birth has happened, I only have about 15 lbs to go to reach my goal. I'm not cleared for anything more strenuous than walking, but I'll be doing that and probably some yoga too. 3 weeks till check-up and likely clearing to get back to regular-level activity.
Haven't been paying attention to my time walking so no starting minutes for me. I have a fitbit account, but lost the fitbit itself (a new one is planned when finances allow. the dang things are spendy >.< ) I also have a myfitnesspal: ChelleyBelley83

30 minute Total Body Cardio (21 day fix exercise program)
120ish minutes mall walking at reasonable pace pushing a stroller.
I've decided that the "malls" up here are entirely too small for this sort of thing. I think I passed EVERY store 3x in that 2 hours. We were there while my hubs was at a managers' meeting and it was better for travel/gas to just hang out there for two hours 'cause it was closer to where his meeting was happening than going home, just to come back so soon.
Today, my quads and hamstrings complain every time I go up or down stairs, or try to squat even a little. Achy, but in a good way that tells me muscles are being worked. :)

Got in a 40 minute run this morning from Houston. Got texted halfway through that my consultant was running way early and wanted to meet for breakfast. Not great news. Had to race back and clean up and was still a goddamned swamp monster when I met with him.
Another hour dance practise \ cardio

I need to fill in the gaps; worked out 6 days last week and was traveling so didn't record them. Definitely need to use Lent as an easy way to force myself to clean up the diet.

Only just noticed this, been looking for a reason to get back into shape. My old routine needs modified, but I rattled through some of it today instead of doing college work. I also don't know the name of half the exercises I do, so stumble through my basic naming.
3x 30 sets bench press (50kg)
3x 30 sets shoulder-bar
3x 30 sets bicep and tricep curls (barbell then dumbell)
3x 30 sets oblique sit-ups
3x 30 sets sit-ups
3x 30 sets leg lifts (lower abs)
3x 30 push-ups (both bicep and tricep)
3x 30 squats (with barbell)
10 mins running stairs (I'm a smoker, cardio isn't my strong suit.)

We have officially bypassed 15,000 minutes!
To reach our goal, we need to log 274 minutes per day. We should be closer to 22,000 to be on pace, but we also only have a handful of people logging! If we all pitch in, we can get there!
Also, please note if you need me to add your minutes to the spreadsheet for you. If not, I will just assume you are adding them yourself.
Be sure to note how many minutes you dedicate to exercise every day! Even if it is an estimate, based on what you accomplished!

Ray, when was the last date you entered information and cleared data? I've been working out every day and have runs stored in my Nike+ app to load, but have been lax.

I added in the numbers today. The last time I added numbers was 2/21. Does that help?
I haven't logged any of my minutes I have to wait til i get on a PC and double check things :)
An hour of hiking on Saturday, and an hour yesterday.

It's gotten warm out, and my parents love Pokemon Go, so I was taken on a three-hour walk to catch Gen Two Pokemon with them.
Very tired. Caught a Dratini tho!

35 minute brisk walk around the neighborhood with hubby and baby (in his stroller of course). Plan is for this to be a regular M-F, soon as we're home from work thing. We'll see how long that actually lasts with all the other stuff we keep getting involved in

Hey, can I join this thing? I was never one much for workout and I could never run worth a damn, but with the coming of nicer weather I recommenced my daily brisk walks that last about 40 minutes if I haul ass. And I generally do, because tempus fugit.

uggg... spring time in Alaska... means intermittent snow, even though it's still pretty warm in comparison to the past couple of months anyway... For those that are curious "warm" means low-mid 30s/low 40s F. Things were melting so nicely, then WHUMP a buncha snow overnight on top of the frozen melt (still cold enough at night to freeze the melt water on the roads). Driving this morning was not a pleasant drive.
20-30 minutes all told today shoveling snow and hacking at ice >.<

Erhat, you're free to join; the second post of the thread is the spreadsheet.
Warmer weather has arrived, sort of, to New England. Had a nice five miles yesterday in balmy 48 F weather.
UPDATE: Goddamnit 5-10 inches of snow coming Saturday.

Right, I noticed that. I just didn't think that everyone can edit it. I added my last four walks to the tally. Hopefully I didn't mess anything up with the spreadsheet, as I'm pretty shit at Excel. (couldn't edit the "to be added" column, though)
On a rather related note, I wish there was some snow here. Over the entire winter we've had one significant snowfall of about 20cm and it held on for a grand total of about a week, and that was that. And now you can practically go out in short sleeves during the day.

Couple of nice 5 mile runs in relatively mild weather yesterday and today.
Shelby, when you get a minute can you update the doc? I've got multiple weeks worth of workouts in there and it looks like I'm just the ironman to end all ironmen (which shockingly is not the case).

I'll also make rows for new members.

Minutes updated, sorry for the delay. We are currently sitting just below 20,000 minutes. To be on track, we should be closer to 26,850. We'll have to step it up in the next couple of months if we want to catch up. But of course, the more participants we have, the easier this will be.

45 min workout. I'm really loving this mommy group workouts I've found. It's so much nicer to workout with other moms. I don't have to worry about getting "looks" from people if Elijah fusses in the middle of my workout or get a babysitter so that I can workout.

Been running, weather has turned and it's been fantastic! Have a nice little reddish tan now from being outside. Spring allergies have slowed my per-mile time a bit, but it's a VERY welcome tradeoff for the bitter cold. Hooray!

Hiked 8 miles today. The first 4 miles was at around noon today when I hauled equipment including a 2 pound hammer, a spool of bailing wire, blind material and my GPS. The second time was around 5 PM today when I went to actually hunt in my blind carrying my gun, shells and a few skinning knives. It's a 2 mile hike each way and I did the hike twice.
So, I don't know if anyone knows about or has heard of the app, "Zombies, run!" Super fun for those runners out there. You get to do these sweet missions in a zombie apocalypse and collect supplies and the such. WHen the zombs show up, gets your heart pounding, that is for sure. Anyway, went on the first mission yesterday. Many more to come.

ZR is great! Sam is my favorite.
Yeah. I am liking it so far. Got to meet Runner 8 today. I'm glad she didn't kill me right off the bat, haha.
Ran again today. Only got chased by zombies once. Increased the distance to 6.5 miles. Not too shabby.
5/6/17: Ran a 10k with my wife today, and evaded zombies 3 times. Hurah!
5/7/17: Hiked the Manitou Incline. 54 minutes up. A little over an hour back down.
5/10/17: Did another 5 miler. Pace is improving.
5/11/17: Short run today. 4 miles in about 40 minutes. And I was set up??? It was a trap?? What?? Who would have guessed?
5/12/17: Another quick run before an awards ceremony at my school. 4 miles again. Only one zombie chase today right at the end.
5/15/17: A nice hour long run today.
5/16/17: Interval with zombies, but then the app wigged out. :( No fun. Did some resistance training too.
5/17/17: Airdrop Mission. 90 minutes. Mwahaha.
5/22/17: Hour run and workout.
5/23/17: Ditto.
5/31/17: An hour yesterday, and an hour today.
An hour yesterday and an hour today.
