gender: none & female.

ic story
Xol was a member of an old race, the Olos, they were gods. Olos existed in the narrow plain between worlds. While they were all brothers and sisters, born from the same mother, one Olo had little in common with another. Some were benevolent while others were malevolent. What linked them was their power. They were watchers and joiners. Olos were supposed to have no impact on the material worlds people lived in. Yes, they could travel in the thin veil above or below a world but, in all the ages, they had never broken into the world of women and men. For them, time was a path to travel back and forth on; meaning they didn't just link different realities, they can also linked different times.

Xol, a young god, fell in love watching teenagers from the future play video games; RPGs mostly. That habit inspired the god child; if they--players--could control avatars in a world of their coders' creation, why couldn't Xol, a god, do the same in the worlds and times it travelled between.

Determination, a rare trait for the Olos, filled the impetuous Xol. With that drive, the young god focused its thought on a place and time. A video game developer was working on a new game, an online game. The game was titled, Ancient Althanas: Kingdoms and Heroes ONLINE. Xol was the first of its kind to finally poke a hole into the real world. Through that hole, Xol took control of the spectacled computer science drop out and planted a super virsus in the code for Ancient Althanas: Kingdoms and Heroes ONLINE.

Xol, its energy all but spent, then endeavoured to pair up with a human teenager from the future named, "Jen". Xol explained to Jen, through messages hidden inside the hacked video game, that it was a god and that she was to receive a special gift. The super virus the Olo god had planted in Ancient Althanas: Kingdoms and Heroes ONLINE allowed Jen's consciousness to travel back in time and inhabit the bodies of the NPCs of the past whenever she hit enter on her username and password. From behind weaklings' eyes, she could observe the mighty battles of John Cromwell in the famous Citadel, witness the tragic demise of Elthas Belthasar and his resurrection as a wraith, maybe she would even have her blood drawn from her living body by the brutal Nyadir D'Var.

details of xol's gift (i.e. skills/abilities)

When Jen logs into the game, thanks to Xol's gift, she can choose any NPC to take control of as long as that NPC has no powers beyond normal human strength and abilities.
Jen can hop between NPCs once every three posts. To move from one NPC to the next NPC, Jen must touch the NPC on the shoulder and yell, "REROLL!" She is unable to switch bodies while in combat (i.e. not usable in the Citadel), the heat of battle frightens her far too much.
If Jen is ever killed while still in an NPC's body then her mind will die with that body. If souls truly exist, then only she will find out what happens to hers when death takes her and releases her soul into the nether of ancient history.
Jen gains XP in Ancient Althanas: Kingdoms and Heroes ONLINE based on how much time she spends in the game. As she levels up, maybe one day she will be able to inhabit more powerful NPCs and write some history instead of just watching it.

this ya boy gum. just to be full disclosure or whatever. if anybody cares, idk, but this is a development of my idea for my old three character. hopefully i'll be able to find more use for this one. thanks in advance to the rog mods for looking at this. i appreciate all of your hard work. you're the best.

Interesting idea! My only concern is in a battle you might jump from an injured body to a new one and effectively heal all your wounds.

Can you put something in about not being able to do that during battles? You can make it meta, like 'locked in a body during a battle event'. :p

Awesome! I'm looking forward to some sort of 'level up' ability in your next update!

Approved!
