The Brotherhood
Purpose:
The Brotherhood is a close collection of people seeking one thing and perhaps one thing only; Sanctuary. A sense of family is often formed, since most members tend to live in that which the Brotherhood calls home. The clan offers many different services, for both members and outsiders. Since one of it's goals is to aid those in need, the clan often takes difficult missions and tasks, such as escorting nobles in fear of their life, or dispatching threatening monstrosities. One can slo find a wealth of information in the Hand's l,ibrary, though it is closely guarded by the Tower, oddly enough.
For those that are lost, for those that fear for their safety, the Brotherhood stands.
Admission:
Membership into the Brotherhood is a simple thing to obtain, of course. For those that express interest in joining the clan, all one has to do is seek out a member of the Tower, which is primarily in charge of admissions. It is uncertain at this time whether or not members will be given an item to signify their membership, as has been done in previous incarnations.
Symbol:
The Brotherhood's symbol is a shield adorned with five panels. Upon those panels are depicted a sword, a tower, and directly beneath it, the shadow cast by the tower, a hand, and a scroll. Not all members wear this symbol in plain sight, though diplomats of the Word are usually required to.
Ranks/Divisions:
To keep the general peace amongst the Brotherhood, and to hold a sense of equality, ranks are not generally touted highly, though they are indeed given. The Brotherhood is run by a Council of the five original, returning members, being Storm Veritas, Sarah Dahlios, Dann Lagh'ratham, Natalya Tichenyanchova, and Rheawien Lightbringer. The ranks, as followed, is kept simple to avoid confusion, and are carried through all divisions:
Veteran
Member
Initiate
The Brotherhood is divided into five Divisions, headed by one member each of the Council; the Sword, the Hand, the Shadow, the Tower, and the Word.
1. The Brotherhood's muscle, the Sword is the sole military might and is the most common unit to find on missions.
2.The Shadow's primary usage is espionage and reconnaissance, though on occasion is used for assassinations.
3. The Hand is in charge of research and development, and is often sent out in search of artifacts or objects of interest to the Brotherhood.
4. The "boring" Division, the Tower is in charge primarily of maintenance, but also of security in the Brotherhood's home. In addition, this division keeps a detailed list of current members, and if the Brotherhood implements the use of membership items, the Tower will be in charge of them.
5. Finally, the Word is responsible for diplomatic relations with both the Coronian government, as well as other clans. Since the Brotherhood commonly harbors less than respectable peoples in their fold, they occassionally take care of some of the "dirt" that's been swept under the government's rug.
Code of Conduct:
1. Under no circumstance are members to kill one another. It goes strongly against everything the clan is founded upon, and breaking this rule will result in immediate expulsion and targeting by the Shadow.
2. If membership items are bought and given to you, do not sell them. The Tower will come down on your head like a warhammer if you do so. If you decide to leave the Brotherhood, contact a member of the Tower so that you can give the item(s) back for any new members to use.
3. Members are allowed and in some cases, encouraged to become members of other clans, so long as the Brotherhood is on friendly terms with them. Loyalty, however, is important to the Brotherhood, and if the group you are in goes to war with the Brotherhood, it is strongly advised that you come to the Brotherhood's defense.
