Appearance: Like all Pooka, Adam too has three different forms available to him. Favoring his human form over the other two, he merely wears some leather pants. Personally the man hates to wear boots, or similar footwear and thus refrains from wearing any at all costs. Most shirts are also bad in his opinion, their sleeves making it harder to shift between forms. For accessories he wears a couple of wrist and armbands, a fingerless glove on his left hand, a necklace around his neck and a set of nipple piercings for personal reasons.
The second form that Adam can use is partially human, while also being partially bat. Still his normal size, he has extended ears for better hearing. He possesses large leathery wings on his back with tiny-clawed hands at the end. Furthermore the Pooka has fur all over, and a little furry snout. Like most Bat Pooka, Adam’s teeth look a lot like fangs, even more so when not in his human form. His nails are more talon-like as well, allowing him for better grip.
His final form is that of a normal black bat.
Personality: Being one of the few Bat Pooka still alive, Adam has a tendency to be even more mysterious than any of the other Pooka. Often instilling fear into mankind due to legends connecting him to vampires, Adam actually resents being compared with them. Although disliking the term, this Pooka in particular has an odd taste for blood. Like most of his kind, Adam has a fetish for bats. This means he’ll try to steal just about anything that has a bat or a part of a bat in it – Paintings, weaponry and even small necklaces are not an exception to this. Not often revealing his mood or feelings to other beings, others will find him a bit of an odd ball out while still wanting to trust him – This mainly due to his “You can trust me” aura.
And before forgetting, he can’t tell the truth. He lies to break down the barriers of communication, wanting to make people re-think about what they take for granted.
Weaponry: A set of wing blades (iron), which can be attached to the Pooka’s wings. Though not yet talented with the blades just yet, he is capable of not harming himself mostly due to the strange location of the weapons.
Armour: None.
Skills & Spells:
Thunderbolt- Summoning up a minor bolt of lightning from within his body, Adam is capable of firing minor electrical shocks. Though not able to do any damage, it is likely to scare people off. As it doesn’t cost a lot of energy, or causes any actual damage, Adam can frequently use this ‘spell’ – Hence why he enjoys using it for pranks and other forms of entertainment.
Kung Fu- Like most Pooka, Adam is capable of defending himself with basic moves from Kung Fu. Obviously he also knows a few offensive tricks. These attacks are more likely to cause minor damage, rather than fractured bones or internal bleeding – This due to him only knowing basic moves, rather than an enemy’s weaknesses.
Racial abilities:
Flight- Like bats, Adam is capable of flight. Obviously this ability increases and/or decreases as he changes form. His human form not capable of flight at all, though lighter on his feet than normal humans.
Echo Location- While his eyes might not be the best of society’s, his hearing is pretty darn close to it. Using inaudible sounds to scan the environment, only Pooka’s with the same affinity or bats themselves are capable of hearing this. As usual this ability is at its best in his animal form, while in his human form it is hardly present.
History:
Born and bred at the Dream-Burrow, Adam has no memory of his life what so ever. As soon as the Resurgence started, Pooka started to die and reincarnate back into the real world. It was at this time that the Autumn World experienced a population explosion.
After most of the Pooka has ventured back into the world again, Adam the Bat Pooka was one of the few to remain behind. Living his life as happily as he could, he played pranks on just about everyone he took notice of. But then one day fate struck him by neck.
Wanting to pull a prank on a Wolf Pooka, Adam tried his best not to be discovered. Sneaking up from above, his hoax soon turned into a nightmare where the other mad Pooka got enraged. Following the Pooka for many a day, Adam tired out quickly – Allowing his enemy to finish what he had wanted to do from the start.
With this, Adam’s soul got sent back into the world. Though it reached Earth nor the Autumn World, descending on Althanas instead. As of yet he still needs to familiarize himself with everything, often coming across things he never saw before – Mainly due to his memory being magically swiped upon leaving the Dream-Burrow.
Up until now the Pooka has had many thoughts and dreams of becoming the best prankster on the world. Consciously agreeing with the phenomena going on in his head, Adam strives to make his dreams come true.
