Ghauntyrr'stra Do'afin
(Unlucky Poison Spinner of the House 'The Walkers in the Web')

Race: Drow
Age: 36

Appearance Attributes: A dark blue-skinned woman stood chained to the imposing rock wall, it's rough surface scraping against her tunic. The hide was softly striped and dotted in brown along it's cream colored surface, suggesting that the animal it had been taken from was of a large cat variety, though one that had very short fur. Her breeches were made of the same hide, most likely the same huge cat, with wooden beads acting as the buttons that cascaded down both legs to hold the garment on her slender frame. Her feet were clad in soft mocassins of the same material, two gigantic paws resting on the tops, so that from the front it looked as if the fallen quarry's large feet were her own. As she stared forward with milky eyes, an anomoly to her race, a strand of snow colored hair fell forward in front of one eye, it's hue indistinguishable from the iris it hid. Her locks fell to waist length, and with the exception of a few stray hairs, all but one tucked behind a slender spired ear, her hair was kept back in a braid. Her jaw set in steely determination as the hooded man came toward her, and though her toned muscles tightened, she did not jerk away or scream as the man started to loosely thread together her midnight blue lips.

History: The Drow maiden's lips still bleeding slowly, she is dragged through underground hallways and dark stone corridoors, until finally she comes to a large room.

The spectators' tongues immediately start to waggle as the woman is carried in. How could she be standing trial, some of them asked. They hadn't thought anything bad of her before this. She had never done anything wrong, and lived a normal Drow life. She was one of the hunters, and her poisons and potions were respected by all but the very skilled in such things.

Unceremoniously dumped upon the floor, Ghauntyrr'stra looks up to see three hooded figures like the one that sewed her lips shut, though these wore adornments of jewels and gold. The moment flows too fast for the woman, and before she can catch her breath, the middle figure is speaking in a low rumbling voice.

"Ghauntyrr'stra Do'afin, last of your House." Murmers went through the watching crowd as she was addressed. Yes, they had almost forgotten, the people's gossip swept through, that all but her had been killed or exiled before. It was an unlucky house, and her mother had named the abandoned child justly before she died on the childbirth bed.

"You stand here before us today, charged with the death of our Queen." The crowd's voices had turned to an angry buzzing, and one man stepped forward, spit flying from his mouth as he pointed at Ghauntyrr'stra. "That's right! We found her signature poison in her body! No other among us uses that recipe!" He was pulled back by a woman who strugged to move forward, past him. "Yes, and this dreg was mocked by the Queen! She had motive!"

Ghauntyrr'stra shuddered and put her head down, filling with cold at their accusations. So many fingers pointed at her, was there not a friend in one of them?

"How do you plead, Ghauntyrr'stra Do'afin?" The middle voice spoke again, and she looked up, mistakenly opening her mouth. When the red spots of pain left her eyes, she started to write "Innocent." upon the dirt, but halfway through the word, the hooded figure nodded.

"If you cannot speak, your silence rings of guilt. Ghauntyrr'stra Do'afin, you are banished from the Shadows. Stay in the daylight, and die in it."

Before she could be taken from the place, the room started to swim around her, and the woman collapsed from nerves.

((During the time since then, Ghauntyrr'Stra traveled across Corone, and met and battled with Gild Sorrain. He invited her to join his Brotherhood, and she agreed. She worked up to the status of Captain, and befriended fellow Captain Damon Kaosi, while they taught each other languages. In the end, she sacrificed her life to save his when Damon fought to save her from her father's disturbing intentions.))

Equipment: When Ghauntyrr'stra awoke, she found herself laying in a small clearing just before daybreak. In the dim just before dawn, she could see that the small bag she kept under the back of her tunic had falled loose. A small moment of panic crept over her and she dumped the bag, making sure that nothing had fallen out. Two iron daggers, simple and elegant at the same time, sat quietly in their sheaths. A marble mortar and pestle were wrapped in hide scraps and three or four empty bottles waited to be filled. She also had two bottles that were full with a liquid of some sort, one dark blue, one a light green.

((She also possesses a bracer that can fire hollow needles.))

Skills
Potion making: Ghauntyrr'stra can make a potion, one 8 oz. bottle at a time, that will heal minor injuries with 2 oz., and one major with all 8 oz. However she must have equal parts of three ingredients: Allerea root (found only in Alerar, thus rare), water and her own blood.

Poison making: The Drowess has a signature potion that can either be introduced directly to the bloodstream (2 oz. on the blade of her dagger will do the trick.) or taken by mouth (oral introduction needs all 8 oz. of the poison). The effect is the same. Unless the body is cleansed (Ai'Brone monks or other Drow can do this) within 20 minutes, a coma will be induced. Left alone, the victim usually comes out of the coma within two days. She can make half a bottle at a time of this light green poison with equal parts of the following three ingrediants: Allera berries (twice as rare as the root), her own blood and spit.

((Shadow-walking: Through her intrinsic relationship with the Shadow's tower, Rilynana'Urden, Ghauntyrr'Stra can move up to ten feet at a time through shadows themselves.))
