Although it may have magical capabilities beyond these, Stevens has not yet uncovered them. Second is a small, black, curved dagger forged from the stinger of a deadly creature called a poten fah. It exerts a maniacal power upon its owner, seeming to morally and physically corrupt the bearer as time goes on. Stevens once owned the weapon but discarded it out of fear of the pull it exerted upon him. Recently in the Bazaar he ran across the weapon again, and seized it in a fit induced by the weapon's power. The incident has been erased from his memory, and he does not know remember that he now possesses it again. Being cut by this dagger causes strange illness in the wounded, much like the flu, which is accompanied by a slow deterioration of the mind. If the wounded receives immediate treatment, however, these effects can be prevented.

His camarilla is comprised of himself and: Denebriel, empress of drakes and one of the most powerful sorceresses of all time; Xhum’zhud, a necromancer who has chafed under Aesphestos’s leadership for centuries; Nyvengaal, a mysterious magician apparently driven insane by the sound of bells; and Pode, the weakest of the five but still remembered in fear as the Scarlet Witch by those who have read the histories of the War of the Tap.

Most lately, the Entente of the Light undertook a mission to conquer the continent of Salvar to establish a base of operations and supply site. Stevens was placed on the throne of Salvar, and von Ribbentrophen took the title of First Minister and Quartermaster of the Armed Forces, making himself de facto dictator and Stevens a figurehead. The invasion of Salvar, however, instead of giving the Entente a pliant base, instead sparked a civil war which eventually required the withdrawal of the Entente. Stevens still claims the title King of Salvar, at the urging of von Ribbentrophen (who stole the Salvarian crown jewels as he fled the capital) and the Pontiff of the Monks of Ai’Bron. Stevens has no plans to pursue this claim, but it does help to get a room in a crowded inn.

In response, the Pontiff revealed himself to be Aesphestos in disguise, throwing the Citadel into a civil war. Fearing a coup, the Baron then attempted to invade the Citadel, himself, leading to his army's defeat and the occupation of Radasanth by the Entente. During the brouhaha, Stevens was kidnapped by the Baron's forces and imprisoned. He was released upon the Entente's capture of the city, and is now attempting to return to the Citadel and safety.
