Tevan has lengthy thick dark brown hair tied back in a ponytail. Nothing about him stands out too much however. He is a typical looking human, no visable scars, built fairly well, and relatively tan skin. On his right shoulder however, the mage has a tattoo that is concealed from public view. The tattoo is in the shape of a dragon. Tevan did not know where this tattoo came from, or what it means.
History:
Tevan grew up with his older brother Fasr, as well as his parents. He had always had interest in the magical arts, but he also had interest in learning about different religions. His brother had heavily influenced him, speaking much to him about religion and some "light", so it was clear that Fasr wanted to become an acolyte.
Fasr could not enter the Order of his choice for some time though. When Tevan was only eight, both of his parents were assassinated. The assassins were supposed to kill the entire Tyro family, but a powerful mage had protected both Tevan and Fasr. Tevan pleaded with him to go, but he told him he would return in six years. That left Fasr, at the age of fourteen, to raise Tevan.
The six years passed quickly, and when Tevan and the mage, Xellan, met again, he took Tevan as his protégé. The brothers became separated, Fasr went off to study with his Order, and Tevan left with Xellan, determined to master the magical arts. They haven’t heard from each other since that day.
Tevan studied with Xellan in his private home for nearly nine years, learning much about two main subjects. Firstly, Xellan taught Tevan about herbs and how they can be used for a variety of things from healing afflictions to making concoctions. Secondly, the magical arts, but more specifically, fire magic. Tevan was taught that magic could be used in all aspects, offense, self-defense, and defense of others.
By the time Tevan had reached the age of 23, Xellan had taught his apprentice many lessons about a variety of subjects. There was still much to cover though. However, one day, the daily lesson led Tevan and Xellan away from the mage’s home and into the mountains. It was there that Xellan began another lesson about herbs and their uses. More specifically, herbs that only grew in the mountains. It was during this lesson that Tevan would become separated from Xellan, and Xellan’s condition, and whereabouts were unknown. The two were ambushed by a group of bandits, and Xellan had made the decision to stay while forcing Tevan to go.
Tevan didn’t know where he was, or where to go, but he knew he was on his own now. Xellan could not protect him anymore; he had to fend for himself in this world that had taken nearly everything away from him. Everything but his own life. Not a day went by where Tevan didn’t think about his brother, or his dead parents.
Skills:
Magic Shield: Tevan can create a magical shield around himself protecting him from a normal amount of damage for a few minutes. The shield protects him from one physical or magical blow. If his opponent is greatly stronger then he is, the shield will only absorb part of the attack while the rest of it effects Tevan. Physically, the shield will absorb equal to that of a sword strike. Magically, any ordinary, regular spell. Mundane spells.
Fireball: Tevan creates a magical ball of fire in his hand that he can shoot at his target. Should it hit, it can cause a good amount of damage and has the chance to ignite the target.
