“When you stand before the crowd
Everything is stripped bear,
No armor, no protection, no safety.
In their eyes, you are naked,
Your virtues and sins lain before them.
They tally your karma
And prepare for your judgment.
But when you stand before the crowd
At least you know you won’t be alone.”

The name that rang out through the bells of my damnation was Leir. Screamed in my ears endlessly by the tormented souls I have slain; each raking their withered fingers through my soul and chipping off a piece of my heart. That name was thrust at me uncountable times, and never shall I forget it, but it is not mine anymore. My warden ensured that. Before, I spoke of being the last of my kind, and very close to the truth I was, but now Saraneth lies in a grave he shall never return from, and the truth bears upon me heavily.

Millions of us migrated, once, from our dying realm. Now, from the hand of that defiled beast, I am the last. Revenge has been extracted, vengeance tasted, and my love lost to the waves of time. What is left for me? As I am released, what truly is there for me to become? Existence is meaningless, yet the choice I made in the beginning now leaves me nothing but that.

Eternal…life…

Who ever said it was a blessing?

The Last of the Demons, The Last Lucaviafate

Ancestral Name: Leiruiatoch Deis Malakhi
Reborn Name: Dresden Myrmidos
Race: Darkened Lucaviafate
Age: A number long forgotten.
Eye Color: Faded Amber
Hair Color and Styling: His hair has grown out to come to his shoulder blades and is raven black with a few streaks of gray.
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 152lbs
Physical Description (Disrobed): During the night Leir appears to be of such pale skin that it almost appears a light blue color. His body is incredibly lean but slightly muscular. His body is, in general, very beautiful to look upon and almost perfect in every way. Across his back, however, there are two long slashes between his shoulder blades. The scars appear to be almost fresh, and never heal completely. Each fingernail is shaped like a claw, a marbled white and as hard as steel. His toenails are the same as his fingernails, claw-like and marbled. For the most part, his body is almost hairless, with none on his chest or chin and not even a shadow of the possibility of hair. The only hair noticeable is the hair on his head and eyebrows, which has darkened to a raven black with a few streaks of gray, and of course his pubes which are a silver-gray color. During the daytime his pale skin darkens to a slightly tanned color all over his body. During the daytime, Leir’s fangs canines recede and appear to be normal sized canines, but at night his teeth grow out again to be lupine jaws. Also his eyes regain some of the lupine glow at night, but they are still dulled golden amber, not as glorious as before.

A noticeable feature is that his ears are pointed like an Elf’s, and during day time hours he can be easily thought as an Elf for his beautiful features and slender body. In fact, when attempts to pass off an Elf even Raiaerans cannot tell to differ.

Outfit Appearance: Having been recently acquired after appearing naked on the ground of the Red Forest and being sheltered by a few Elves, Leir has an Elven outfit. It is comprised of a noble white doublet with gold embroidery on it which comes up to his collar bone, and a pair of grayed white cloth pants which match the shirt and have golden embroidery of thorns and leaves around the bottom of the pants and on his left side the embroidery climbs his legs. Shoes had come with the outfit, but he never wears them despite the protests of the Elven guard. A silver hair tie is often wrapped around his write or in his hair, making it into a black ponytail. The Rangers also gifted him with a steel Elven Long sword and sheath, which can belt to his clothing and somewhat matches his outfit.

Weapon:
Elven Long Sword: A steel sword gifted to him by the Rangers due to their concern for his safety. It is much below the dignity of a Lucaviafate to use any weapons other then their own bodies, since their physique makes them into a living weapon. However, Leir reluctantly accepted it for he is harmless and defenseless during daylight hours. He sheds the weapon at night, however, and does not care that his powers are unreliable.

The Powers Unheld; Lucaviafate Attributes

Dawn’s Kiss: This is not a normal attribute of Lucaviafate, but instead has been acquired by Leir after being released from the forever dawn prison where the souls of his victims tortured him. Being exposed to partial sunlight for such a long period of time has changed his body and now he may walk in broad pure sunlight without burning. Instead, he has none of his powers and will be, in all effects, completely mortal. During this time, his skin darkens from its ivory color and he appears almost completely human, with a slight bronzed tan.

The same applies as before, however, and walking into a deep shadow and remaining there for a few moments will restore all night-time attributes.

Note: When ‘powers’ is mentioned, that includes all other Lucaviafate Attributes, beneficial or not.

Lich’s Touch:The Lich’s Touch is the only remnant of his old powers that Leir can hold onto. Once, long ago, he was able to change into the infamous Lucaviafate true form, the Twisted Lich. Now, instead of full body, he can only transform one hand into the demonic skin. When this is done, his skin becomes a black fire-darkened metal and grows into a cruel and demonic gauntlet. Each finger becomes a long claw that is able to grow up to six inches long, except the thumb, which can only grow to four inches. They can also retract to have a one inch claw. At this point, the metal of the Lich’s Touch is only equivalent to iron, but he can keep it out for as long as he wishes. Just like any other part of his regeneration, the metal of the Lich’s Touch can be grown back, but at half the speed. A lost claw can be regenerated without needing the claw that was broken off.

The Immortality Unheld: Lucaviafate are in a sense almost completely immortal. There is ways to kill them, but their soul will forever remain attached to the mortal realm unless it is somehow directly assaulted and destroyed. Beheading or burning a Lucaviafate will disable them until their ashes are collected or their head replaced. Wounds that would kill a mortal will also disable them, but they will slowly regenerate unless they are burned or beheaded, and will be able to return to a waking state on their own. A part of this immortality is that their soul lends a hand in their physical regeneration and if they are fully rested they will regenerate small cuts and scraps within minutes, and will be able to restore a limb within a half hour if the limb is placed back where it should be and held there. Serious wounds and larger damage, even when fully rested, can take days to months to regenerate enough to be able to function again. However, if the Lucaviafate is tired of their soul is wounded, then even a small cut can take a week to recover from. A good thing to note is that Lucaviafate cannot bleed to death, but they will grow incredibly tired and weakened if all their blood is drained, and they won’t be able to move or function, but their minds will remain active. Even a single drop of blood given to them in this state will revive them, for their bodies change to accommodate even the smallest addition of energy. A single drop will only sustain them for a few minutes, though.

Soul’s Strings: Due to the torture his soul endured while imprisoned, Leir’s soul is no longer as contained and intact as it used to be. Because of this, anyone who can sense spiritual energy will feel incredible rage and pandemonium in his presence, for his soul is shredded and tattered. This turns him into almost a beacon for anyone with such abilities. There are pieces, strings of spiritual energy, escaping him all the time and the longer he stays active the weaker he becomes. The more active he becomes, the less potent his regenerative powers are, as well. Yet, another side effect of the release of energy is that anyone who is near him who can feed on spiritual energy or benefit from it will be strengthened, even if it is an enemy. Because of this spiritual chaos, Leir has a very hard time controlling any of his powers, and often they won’t work.

Now, the strange this is that when Leir walks into broad daylight, his soul all at once aligns itself properly, giving him the energy to go through the day. However, this isn’t a benefit for him because he cannot use his Lucaviafate powers at daylight anyways. Yet, with his spiritual energies aligned, he won’t be a beacon for spiritualists during the daylight hours.

Wings of the Harbinger:One of the features of the Lucaviafate that Leir has kept is his wings, but they have changed. As always, they are stored beneath the skin of his back and come out as full bone wings with the black bat-like leather covering them as they grow outwards. However, they are no longer pure black and have red tiger-stripe markings on them. The wings of a Lucaviafate are his signal of the type of power he holds, and a change in color or design signifying a change in the abilities of the Lucaviafate. At the moment, Leir doesn’t know what his wing change means.

At the current moment Leir's wings have gone under a lot of stress and are at lot weaker muscularly. He cannot fly from ground level but can use them to boost his jump height a little bit. However, if he jumps from a high height then he can glide for quite some distance or use his wings to slow his descent so that he can take the impact. His wings, like the rest of his abilities, cannot be grown during daylight. If he tries, they will come out as bone wings and the sinewey covering won't coat them and he will probably bleed to death.

The Dark Hunger; Sated: Before his imprisonment Leir was like other vampires in that he required to consume blood to stay alive. However, now he may consume any sort of food to replenish himself. Blood is still consumable and it will replenish him as well as food, but it isn’t a requirement anymore. Feeding himself does not speed up his healing abilities, and he doesn’t have super powerful metabolism or anything of that such.

Darkened Strength: A normal Lucaviafate would have the strength of ten men and enough speed to cause every movement to leave an afterimage, but after being Darkened by his experiences in the hellish dawn realm, Leir has lost a lot of his strength and speed. Now, at night, he is only as strong as a well-built Human but his speed is still about 15% faster then what a Human is capable of. However due to his spiritual problems, moving at his max speed will wear him out almost instantly and he will only be able to make a single lightning-quick movement before being exhausted. Using his full strength will also exhaust him, but not as fast. During the day he is as strong as his body would normally let him be, being an average Human, and his speed is that of an average Elf.

[If it is possible I would kindly like the 900exp that was associated with this character and account which I forgot to claim after returning. If it isn't possible, I understand. I am willing to start clean]

Do the wings enable him to fly or are they just for show?

Oh my am I a dunce or what? I am sorry, I suppose that I completely forgot about the fact that usage isn't assumed here. It's been too long since I've written a profile [laugh].

I know you don't allow level 0's to have complete and utter flight, so to avoid getting something else taken away, the wings can enable a boost to a jump, or be able to fly for a medium distance if he leaps from a high place. They also help him land from any height without really much trouble. I will edit that in. Sorry.

Edited.

Looks good now. Gliding and slight enhancement of his jumping isn't such a major advantage. Also, I see no problems with adding the 900 EXP because I remember you definitely having some exp.

You are approved with 900 EXP.
