Name: Maddox Aurelie Veritas.
Age: 17.
Race: Human.
Hair Color: Deep brown.
Eye Color: Dull blue.
Height: 5'4''.
Weight: 100.
Occupation: Adventurer.
Personality: Maddox isn't used to being around anyone but herself. She is very quite blunt and honest, and says what she wants to say. If you're in her way, she'll do her best to push you out, and if you annoy her, she'll ignore you. Otherwise, you could call her friendly, but she likes to make people smile, to see people happy. Maddox is a retrospective type of person, who loves to hear people's stories, and to see new places and point of views. She's a very adventurous type of person, and will take as many risks and dares you throw her way. Headstrong and stubborn, those can be a couple of her bad traits, seeing as how sometimes she thinks she's almost invincible, even though she's just a small girl with a bow. She hates to be told she's wrong, or that she's a little girl, and gets herself in quite a lot of fights for those types of things. She hardly ever wins, but that's just how things are with her.
Appearance: Rather small, you could say that Maddox is not the biggest girl you've ever seen. She stands at around 5'4'' on a good day, and weighs in at an even 100 pounds. She's not the type of girl to worry about her weight, though, and always seems to think that she's bigger than she really is - when it comes to fighting, that is. Like an aggressive puppy or something. The inherited deep brown hair and dull light blue eyes comes from her mother's side of the family. She has a soft look about her, that is occasionally corrupted with the messy hair and sometimes dirty face that she gets from adventuring around in different places. She has fair, porcelain skin, and can't seem to keep a tan for the life of her. She dresses comfortably, nothing too dressy or expensive, but also not exactly shabby or ill-fitting. Appears to be a sweet, charming girl, at first glances, like a girl you could make best friends with.
History: Maddox grew up in a mostly normal home, and they were fairly poor, although they got by. She learned to be thankful for everything she recieved, and appreciated her parents for keeping her warm and sheletered and clothed and fed. She became a bright child, although easily distracted by things she would come across, in nature, or just in simple day to day life. Her parents said that she had a gift to appreciate the world around her. Most people just called her an easily-distracted child, although loveable nonetheless. Growing up wasn't all that hard, but she had no siblings, and therefore played outside on her own and such. She liked to be around the ocean, for some reason. Maybe it was in their blood, but she always dreamt about sailing off somewhere, or traveling to some distant place. But, being just a girl, she would wander around their small town for now.
Her father, being an archer, passed down the bow and arrows to his daughter. He would have passed down to a son, if they have had one, but they hadn't. They were proud of Maddox, either way, and she picked up the skill over time, with great amount of practice and persistance. You can't just simply learn how to shoot overnight, and it was hard for Maddox to get the hang of. She kept herself away from most of the other children, and would run off on her own, taking risks to venture into the wood near their small town. One day, one of her friends finally followed her, into the wood during the night. It was winter-time, and she was now 15 years of age. Her friend Carmine decided to see what it was like, even though they both knew if they got caught, they would probably be in some type of trouble. Youth at that time weren't exactly allowed to be caught wandering around at night.
Maddox felt that something was wrong, tonight, though. She ignored her instinct, though, pushing it off and blaming it on pure adrenaline. Nothing wrong had happened, until they went to the bridge. The bridge overlooked the river, which was now covered by a thin layer of ice. It was an old bridge, unreliable, but stayed up whenever Maddox had crossed it in the pass. It swung this certain way when you stepped onto it and jumped around, and gave you a type of rush, almost. Maddox, laughing, told her friend to jump and to try it out. Her friend did so, as Maddox watched on solid ground, having not yet crossed onto the bridge. Carmine did so, and with the first jump, fell straight through, screaming as she fell through the air. The screams stopped as she cut into the ice and plunged into the deep water of the river.
Maddox was not accused of murdering Carmine, but instead was blamed for teh death, taking part in her misfourtune. She was banned from her little hometown, told that she would not come back until a certain time. This was her punishment for being disobidient of the town laws and causing such a tragic accident. So, at the age of 15, Maddox left home, with only few of her belongings and went off to travel the world around her. Occasionally, people would take her in from time to time, paying her little money for odd jobs and chores around their farms or houses. Becoming sick of that type of life, Maddox became something of an adventurer, going to new places to see new things, only having to answer to herself. And, maybe, from time to time a few town officials from here to there. But, it was an exciting life, and she loved to do it, too.
That's where she is today, beginning a new life.
Skills:
Analyzing. Maddox is a very good analyzer and thinker, and is clever if she puts herself up to it.
Observing. She is a very good observer, and will often find herself off in her own little world, watching the simplest objects and people, even emotions. She finds that if you observe things, you learn more about them, and other than that, she's just simply fascinated by the smallest of things.
Arching. Maddox is an efficent archer, nothing like a professional assasin archer or anything wild like that, but she's accurate and has been doing it since she was little.
Equipment: A simple but cherished bow, made out of Hickory. With the bow, she carries around two dozen arrows at most times. She also has two small steel dual daggers, which aren't the strongest things in the world, but they get the job done for her occupation.
Familiars: Some bird usually follows her around most of the time. She doesn't see it as a pet, but occasionally talks to it from time to time. She named him Palegos, which is "by the sea" in Greek.
