Records from Aesop’s records
Subject number: 00001
Code Named: Nova
Subject type: Nanomachine Cyborg with cat DNA
Appearance notes from Captain Aaron:
I find myself rather disappointed in our first creation in the bio lab. Aesop has decided to be rather creative when making the body of the subject Nova. Nova has been given a female body with all the traits, including internal thanks to a scan, yet she has been giving a tail and feline ears. Her hair is blue as well as the fur and the eyes are green. But what power can a person have with such a small body, she doesn’t look like she’s taller than 5’ and she seems rather thin though the nanomachines in the blood increased her weight. Still I don’t see much use that she has as a new Cyborg, we were planning a military use but now that she’s made I’m not sure.
Personality Notes by captain Aaron:
It’s as I feared. During testing Nova showed more interest in having fun and being curious. She does not have the mind of a soldier and may never develop it. She is rather playful and seems to enjoy being around people and playing with certain items. She does have a penchant for self defense but no initiative and shows no use in an operation.
Cybernetic enhancements:
Being a base model, Nova has few enhancements beyond normal.
-Nanomachine regeneration: Nova is capable of self-repair to minor damage done. Negligible (scrapes and scratches) damage is removed in a few minutes, minor damage takes a little longer about 40 minutes to repair and heavy damage takes 8 hours. Not extreme damage such as maiming and cybernetic failure requires maintenance by a technician with the proper tools. Note that regeneration cannot occur when Nova exerts herself more than normal, she cannot regenerate during combat.
Burst: Nova’s body is capable of temporary burst of greater capabilities for a minute or so but can only do so once every ten minutes. She can either boost her strength or speed (not both) to 1.5 times her normal capabilities.
Translator: Nova has a translation program that allows her to understand tradespeak, drow, elfin, dwarven and Fallien language. She naturally speaks the ancient language.
Prehensile tail: the nanomachines have modified the tail to give Nova great control and strength in her tail. It’s as strong as one of her arms though it is only useful in loose grasp like tripping an opponent or moving a large lever
Known skills:
Feral martial arts: Nova is actually a capable novice fighter though her attacks are mostly vicious like a big cat, biting and clawing with her strong claw-like fingernails.
Ranged combat: we have programmed her in the use of ranged weapons. She is cleared in the use of boomerangs and throwing knives. She still has only average accuracy at the target range.
Known flaws:
weak to electricity: Electricity is extremely harmful to Nova, a good jolt can shut down her cyrbernetic enhancements with other damage it will cause.
Registered equipment:
Civilian clothing: Nova currently wears civilian clothing. It consists of a white shirt and green shorts worn over female undergarments.
Techno boomerang: a steel boomerang with a magnetic device that allows it to return to the thrower even if it hits an object, though it is possible for an opponent to prevent the boomerang from returning.
Nova was the product of research in an unknown island on the edge of the world in Althanas. A Hidden technology of ancient origin was discovered there by young captain Aaron, the fist discovery was the AI named Aesop who taught the excavators how to reproduce and use some of the technology. Aesop had a rather interesting personality for an AI. The computer loved mischief and would often play around with the things he would help make for the humans that found him, like the time he made laser weapons that instead sent out confetti.
Another was Nova, a catgirl Cyborg that Aesop made from the bio lab, simply because he liked Cats. Nova was really a disappointment to Captain Aaron and his men but they could not dispose of her at the risk of angering Aesop and losing everything, thus they decided to humor the supercomputer and try to work with Nova.
