There is a civil war in Corone. There is an uprising in Fallien. Alerar and Raiaera are preparing to go to war. Salvar has formed an alliance with Alerar. The Haidians are establishing themselves in Dheathain after a defeat in their homeland. The Illicit Entrepreneurs have declared war on the Citadel. Pretty much the whole of Althanas is in a state of war.
The point of this announcement is this: don't have your characters going about their daily lives just as they always would. War changes life and it should change life on Althanas. Maybe there's food shortages, increased crime, military clampdowns, or anything else war-related in your threads. People who keep the socio-political landscape of Althanas in mind are likely to create richer stories that get better scores!

The war between Alerar and Raiaera (which Salvar will likely join) has not started yet, but if you're interested in having an important military or other position with any of the three regions, now would be a good time for your character to curry favor with the respective governments.
