Name: Meerplex
Age: ?
Race: furball
Hair Color: white and light brown
Eye Color: no eyes
Height: about 6-7 inches
Weight: 2-3 pounds
Occupation: none

Personality: The white Meerplex is homicidal and self-interested with a dark sense of humor. The brown Meerplex is greedy, angry and vicious.

Appearance: Meerplex is a furball six inches in diameter

History: Meerplex might be an alien. He might be a demon. He might be a very fat rat. There's no way to know because he can't talk. One day he just rolled into town. He's been around ever since.

Skills:
Rolling: Meerplex can roll like a little hairy bowling ball to get to where it wants to go.

Level 2: Meerplex can adhere to horizontal surfaces like walls and roll up them.

Level 3: Meerplex can briefly adhere to ceilings or anything else while hanging upside down, but no longer than one post.

Hopping: Meerplex can leap around in short little hops, about six feet high at the max and about six feet long at the max.

Squealing: Meerplex can communicate through animal squeals and shrill yelps. The white Meerplex speaks in high pitched, bird-like tones. The brown Meerplex growls and coughs like a grown man or angry dog. The green Meerplex screeches like a rusty door hinge.

Posession: Meerplex can possess things up to human size. It can clumsily direct their actions, and can use things to attack larger creatures, but is pretty bad at it so far. Its ability to control things it possesses will get better as time goes on. After it divides, the two new Meerplexes can combine to possess something larger, like a horse.

Level 1: Meerplex is now slightly better at possession. It can more fluidly move a possessed body, and can make people speak in slurred, bumbling words.

Level 2: Meerplex is now good enough at possession so that it can move a posessed body normally. It can't make possessed people speak correctly or take advantage of their skills beyond swinging a simple weapon, however. Meerplex can only fully possess people below its level on its own. Two Meerplexes together can possess someone of equal level, but even working together they can not control someone of stronger level for more than one full post. Meerplex can possess human-sized or smaller NPCs on its own, and both Meerplexes working together can possess larger NPCs, like horses or cows.

Level 3: The Meerplexes have now become adept enough at possession to make a person speak and access a few basic skills, like lighting a match or opening a door. However, anyone who encountered one of these possessed people would immediately know something was wrong with them, as their voice would be flat, without emotion, and might be slurred somewhat. The three Meerplexes working together can possess someone one level higher for two posts, and someone of two levels higher for part of one post, amusing the person is not strong-willed and does not fight back. Two working together can possess someone of one level higher for one post. Guidelines for NPCs still apply.

Division: Meerplex will divide in two every time he reaches a new level. So at level 1 there will be two Meerplexes traveling around together, at level 2 there will be four, and so on. Meerplexes don't like being around each other that much though, so a lot of them will probably strike out on their own after dividing. The most Meerplexes that have ever been seen in one place is ten.

Level 1: Meerplex has divided in two, with one brown and one white furball.

Level 2: The two Meerplexes divided again, but the brown Meerplex chased both of the new Meerplexes off. The fugitive Meerplexes are light red and white with black flecks. They are now part of a traveling circus in the west of Corone. They may appear as NPCs, but will not take part in battles or attack any PCs in quests.

Level 3: The two Meerplexes divided, but one was eaten by a dog. The new Meerplex is green with very long tufts of hair that make it look something like a hairy sea urchin.

Equipment: The initial Meerplex is equipped with a small belt around its middle. The belt (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=2505) gives the first Meerplex the ability to detect when someone nearby has magical abilities.

This looks fine, I just want to know how far away you need to be away from something for possession to occur.

There needs to be physical contact, directly on the skin.

It's fine then, approved.
