Hi there. It's a pleasure to be here and I look forward to meeting you all~ I've been desperately seeking a roleplaying community which allows relative freedom while still remaining professional, and insisting on high-quality posts. I have to say, I couldn't be much more impressed. I believe I've stopped by once before but had such low spirits after months of searching I overlooked it. Silly me. In any case, say howdydoody to my usual online avatar as well! I hope it works for you. It's easier to play than to make a decent character sheet of. A rare issue. Can and will tweak anything nessesary, as I understand at least the history sounds a bit strange. Peace and lub. *waddles away to give her fluffy bed some loverly affection*

Age: Unknown (Appears around 7 years old in human years, at the beginning. It's my intention to have her age rapidly for reasons unexplained. So, in truth, the answer would seem to be Newborn.)
Race: Dragonelf (?) - Appears to be one-of-a-kind. See Appearance below.
Hair Color: Dark Purple, very straight. Almost to her waist but is pinned back by her ears and wings.
Eye Color: Purple
Height: 4'8"
Weight: 200lbs. Wings and tail and strange legs included. She probably feels lighter than she is, depending.
*Occupation: One day soon, she might have a real one!
*Personality: Jem is unfailingly bright to a fault, in typical mood, and when not appearing in a good mood, she's usually in a simple curious one. She somehow manages to be smart and stupid, and wise and dumb all at the same time, in different ways due to her "artificial wisdom", so to speak. This would seem to be almost entirely due to the fact she has no real life experiences behind her. She holds a particular fondness for climbing trees, fuzzy things, and sleeping in peculiar places, in absolutely strange positions.
Appearance: The first thing to notice would probably be her large dark purple, feathered wings. The most immediate thing to come to mind would probably be "omg HARPY runferit~!" but being that she's quite the opposite of ugly and carries some unnatural aura of child-like charisma, that thought wouldn't survive long unless you're dense. She does indeed look the part of a child, too, whatever she is. Aside from the wings, the scaled tail and legs and her strange light blue skin color, she merely appears to be a strange, mutated elven girl.
As far as clothing is concerned, she wears a tight-fitting soft black top rimmed with thick gleaming silver bands reminiscent of armor, and a suede loincloth with a silver-chain belt. The way the top is designed allows the decorative crescent-moon-shaped dangling bands on the side to go under her wings, to make it easy to remove. It attaches in the front with a simple but beautiful array of hooks. The loincloth has a hole in the back of it which allows her tail free movement. Anyone who stops to think about it would probably assume she's either rich or has friends in high, or at least very rich places.
History:
First, a small preamble which can be removed later if needed. Because preambles are smexy little eyesores when used correctly. Anyways ---- While the amnesia stories of the roleplay community have been beaten to death, I feel that a "start from scratch" scenario is the way to go here and has the potential to be quite entertaining. I had in mind a way I wanted to go with this before I actually read any of the game's "history books". Now that I have, I'm even more happy with my concept, as simple a concept as that may be. Quite frankly I want to write her history as I go, else I'd be spoiling the fun for myself in a way. It won't be abused no doubt, but I will say the line about the Dragon God awakening various "dragon-like creatures" really clicked with my line of thinking.
Basically, the poor little thing woke up in Concordia Forest, in the nook of a gigantic tree (Maybe the demons didn't burn them ALL down? Maybe there's magic water around? Anyway. Big tree.). She doesn't know her past, if she has any, doesn't have any memories (at least not yet), and doesn't have any instinctual feelings at the moment except to learn and inquire. She is, at this stage of her life, very animalistic, but also very much sentient, and has a very powerful affinity with the minds of others. So far her experience is strictly with animals. Dissapointingly enough it doesn't seem they like her very much~
Skills:
Supernatural Empathy - She can sense intentions, deceptions, and feelings very acutely. She very well may not comprehend their significance, but she's a "sentient lie detector test" nonetheless. This isn't perfect, but perfect liars are hard to come by. She has the uncanny ability to read thoughts in the form of ideas at times. All of the above manages to artificially raise her intelligence, allowing her to learn at an unbelievable rate.
"Instant Linguistics" - She picks up languages almost as easily as words. It seems that this comes from her having already known several languages in a "past life" or somesuch thing but for all anyone knows she might be sucking words from other people's minds. Not likely... In any case, words come to her easily. Perhaps strangely, or perhaps not-so-strangely, she still has trouble speaking any language perfectly even though she may know how.
Superb Dexterity - She is extremely flexible despite her additional appendages and avidly makes use of the fact. Her tail is more like a snake than an actual tail, as it has infinite flexibility, allowing it to act as a functional fifth limb.
It may also be noted that her memory is flawless.
Equipment: Not counting her 'armor', she carries absolutely nothing, including money.
Anything else? She's nearly as weak as the newborn she seems to be but is quite durable. She can't fly with the wings, nor will she ever truely be able to most likely. Also, she has a bit of a musty scent, though not unpleasent.
