It does have more of a cell shaded look to it than a soft shaded look though, except for some of your detail work on such as the hair.

As for critique... Yeah, these two are more Cel-Shade than Soft-Shade. There are elements of soft shading, but the cel-shading is more prominent. :p

Cutesy stuff, I likes it. Of course, I was also using one of your older pictures as an avatar for a while too. I still like how the charectors are made, nice and simple and soft. I also like the sketchy-ness of it, makes them seem more real, I don/'t know, I just like the effect.
