Neatly printed proclamations spread through Corone like a plague, appearing on every corner of every town and village, portraying the “true” picture of the state in which the realm is in. On it is an unknown seal displaying an image of Radasanth walls with a crown floating above it, the official emblem of the Corone Empire.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

In the wake of the unfortunate events that robbed us of our beloved leaders and provoked the unhinged outbursts of some communities, the Assembly has no other option but to declare martial law from henceforth. All of the current governing bodies will continue to function under the newly formed military protectorates. Furthermore, the remaining members of the Assembly, together with the ministry and their closest advisors, reached a conclusion that even with this intervention the public safety is still threatened. Underwood is currently under occupation of insurgents that spread war propaganda that shakes the very foundation of our society. In order to expedite the elimination of these rebels and strengthen our government, Corone Republic is abolished, and from henceforth you are all citizens of the Corone Empire. Let us work together in rebuilding a safer, more stable government.

Signed:

Viceroy Emien Harthworth
Viceroy Sivien Arundiel
Viceroy Athenry Sergio
However, in more and more regions, these public announcements were painted over with red dye, and below, above and over these vandalized proclamations a new announcement stands, carrying the seal of both the Corone Republic – a sun cresting over the jagged mountain tops – and the Corone Rangers’ sword-and-bow insignia:

The Manifesto of the Free

How long? How long are we to turn a blind eye towards the criminals that call themselves our rulers? How long are we to disregard the plague that’s been eating the soft underbelly of our society? How long, I ask you? In Radasanth, a trio of liars sits on the throne of a realm that you never chose to be a part of. Their stink spreads throughout our Republic, polluting it with their lies and deceits. DO NOT allow them cloud your eyes and make you forget that we live in the land of the free, that we are still a part of democracy that they murdered in its sleep. DO NOT allow them to blunt you into callousness.

DO NOT allow them to make you forget Gisela.

In Concorida, the democracy still lives, and it needs your help to weather these storms that blow from the north. Join the Underwood Contingent and together we can return freedom back to where it belongs. To our towns. To our homes. To our families. To our hearts.

Signed:

The Rangers of the Corone Republic

Is there a point/any way to join the side of the Corone Empire? Or will they eventually loose anyway... just like the cult in Irrakam?

Is there a point/any way to join the side of the Corone Empire? Or will they eventually loose anyway... just like the cult in Irrakam?Well, right now the entire War is pretty open-ended. I have a good idea where the main story would lead, but I can't really say which side will win in the end. Maybe neither wins in the end. I can't really say since the whole thing just started to happen. I'll update this thread when something important happens. That means if you or anybody else decide to make their own story during this upheaval, they have a chance to influence what's going on.

Uwah~!!! I'm not ready yet~!!!Don't worry. As I said, this thing just kicked off, so you have plenty of time. There were no big confrontations between the rebels and the Empire yet and Akashima is still neutral in the entire affair. Besides, we're going to be moving west first before moving east towards Akashima.

Is there any location of refuge in Corone, a place where citizens who wish to avoid the struggle might flock? Will that be Akashima or someplace else?

Akashima is the safest bet. Also, most of the places in Radasanthia and Tymerande baronies are safe, especially in the coastal regions since the Empire controls the Navy.

Tel'Han and the other villages up in the mountains likely would not be affected greatly, unless they decide to go down and make their own way in this war, right? I was going to have my character stay out of it for a little while then, when he's more confident in his magic, join the rebels in the fight for justice and freedom.

I'm interested in joining the Civil War as a hired sword working for the Corone Empire.

I have a bunch of questions, but I'll try to keep it short with the most relevant ones.

I was curious what the processes would be for becoming a citizen of the Empire. My character has just traveled from Salvar via boat under a new name, so that may create some troubles upon entering the island. Besides entering the island itself, what about entering Concordia forest? Does the Empire have frequent roadblocks and patrols throughout the region? Thanks for the help.

Fuck yes. I'm in.

I'm pressed for time right now so I'll keep my questions brief. Is there an 'official' quest? Would the underground hire mercenaries? Are you taking part in this yourself, and if so, which side? When are you going to re-open No Rest For The Weary so I can finally fucking post in it?

Part three of a series of quests. Besides this I am not helpful whatsoever.

It's a closed quest though *cackle*

When can we expect the civil war to reach FQ status, assuming that's where it's headed?

It's been 9 months. Anything new with the Civil War? I've been out of the game for the majority of this and since I'm posting in Corone dealing with the Treasurer of Corone, I'd like to know whats the status on the war and such.

So is this war still going on? Is Underwood pretty locked down by the Empire? What about Jadet? Just curious about the state of my forest is all.

I referenced this as if it were still happening in a recent thread... considering no one has said otherwise and I'm accustomed to neverending wars.

I was going to assume the same, unless somebody said differently here.

Well I am going to go ahead and assume Corone is still in this Civil War. Guerilla Wars can stretch out for a long time, after all.
