Okay, so where do you see your character going as you level up?
Personally, I have a basic plan for Caduceus, but very little idea how I'm gonna go about it.
As of now, he has Elemental Magic and Astral Magic. He'll gain Astral Projection next. Later on, I'll have him unlock the ability to combine the elements into Lightning Bolts (fire and air), Plant Manipulation (fire and earth), Shifting Earth (earth and water), Freezing Fireballs (fire and water), Disenchantment (air and water), Gravity Manipulation (air and earth), and I think that covers all of them. Then he'll go through a special love quest to learn healing magic (it's complicated and involves Jesus). And eventually he'll summon the Elemental Kings, Paralda (air), Nischa (Water), Ghob (Earth), and Djinn (Fire). Then he moves on to Angelic Summoning, with Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Auriel. Finally, he learns to summon the chief angel (as far as I'm going on Althanas, anyway), Metatron. Then, he'll master the divine name YHVH to cast some spell I haven't figured out yet. It'll be good, though. I think.
So, what are your plans?
I have Karuka figured out to level four so far.
First she needs to learn how to use the runes in the inverse magically. Then she needs to learn how to combine runes into more complex spells (twos and threes).
After that she's going to have a crisis of faith and start losing her magic, to the point where she can't even cast Daeg anymore and have to regain her faith. That's be a fun quest, there, and at the end of it (judge allowing), she'll have a shiny new trident, a new set of runes, and the Aum.
Atzar's fucking plan changes every day. At first, he was just going to be an ordinary mage, sort of like Luc.
Then, I came up with the bright idea to make him go crazy. I planned on having him experiment with life energy -- long story short, he was going to use the energy he harvested from 'victims' to create "magic grenades." A mad scientist, if you will.
But then, I was up at 3:30 one night. We all know what kind of ideas we come up with that late at night... mine was a pygmy dragon. Well... not one pygmy dragon. Eight. Initially, they were all going to have no connection to magic, but I relented and decided to give them each an element (no, I wouldn't run out of elements... I can think of twelve off the top of my head if I stretch things a bit). At this point, I planned to completely drain Atzar's magic into the dragons, leaving him only with a staff.
Recently, however, I've decided that eight (or even more) dragons would just be too hard to keep up with. They'd all have names, personalities, different types of magic... it would just be too hard to come up with. At the moment, I've decided on four. Earth, Air, Fire, Water... and Atzar will keep the more exotic elements like Order, Soul, Flora, and Metal.
We'll see what I come up with next.
Khariss was (re)created for the Illicit Entrepreneur PG. Recently, however, I've found that he can be easier to write with than Atzar. Since then, he's been my "public relations" character: when I want to get a character deeply involved in Althanas as a society, Khariss is my man. As such, his story is largely based on what I choose to involve him in. All I really have planned for him is something after the demise of the IE (should its demise actually take place -- a likely event) he'll have a drug-induced experience and turn good.
Stay tuned for that one... it should be good.
Huacamon is a third character. I haven't made him yet, due to time constraints. He'll eventually be an Aztec-style character... Jaguar-skin coat (although I may use a different animal for originality), sacrificing slaves, obsidian-studded clubs... fun fun!
Anyway, I plan to lodge him in Istraloth. He'll be a member of one of several tribes of natives, and a native vs. "white man" sort of crisis will develop. Somebody will begin supplying a tribe (whether it's mine or another tribe, I've yet to decide... both have some very interesting possibilities) with guns. That will throw the balance of power out of whack, and the gun-supplied tribe will basically annihilate all of the other tribes.
That's a rough idea, but I've run it by a couple people and they agree that it could turn out cool. We'll see how it goes... I have to find time first.

Elrundir will level up however the mood strikes me at the time. :p
I've already got all of Christina's abilities planned out, though. Well, at least her basic abilities. The only thing left is to figure out when she'll learn which skills, but que sera sera. After that she'll probably learn some combinations too, which I haven't thought out yet.

Ordinary mage, eh?
Well, we'll see how accurate a statement that is in a year :D On that note, I don't want to reveal where I'm going with Luc.
Izvilvin's leaving Corone after Letho's quests are done with. By then he'll be disenchanted with Step, so he'll take one final visit to Fallien where he says bye to everyone. This is supposed to be where Glimmerfang the dragon shows up. Then the battle happens... Bla bla.
Anyway, after all that, Izvilvin's to go to Alerar and find his place there, perhaps meet with his mother once more. He'll find out General Vortudin's been dead for a long time, and so he'll try to rise to power until he can amass a force to wipe out Step with. Yep.

With Cor its getting stronger, faster, more powerful and able to take down bigger creatures...not to mention get those elemental strikes and a good covering of animal hides, pelts and other assorted nicknacks to cover him from head to toe in natural armour. Not to mention teach a few prospective monster hunters how to handle the situations, maybe even lead a group when hes stronger.
For the Mime, the great thing is the full freedom of direction,he wants to do everything he can thats right and will, though I need to fit a few serenades in.

Leon has two or three big stops that I want him to go through. One of them is making him more magical in nature and whatnot, as well as adding some more to him and explaining some things. Though, the biggest thing I want to do, aside from that stuff I just said, will involve his family, as well as anything I can really figure out about them. Though the biggest thing for Leon, which I can start at any real point, would be getting into something big. It's fuzzy, but I want Leon to be apart of something that will really shake at least a continent or something. Along the lines of stopping a war, or bringing the Forgotten Ones back into Althanas ro something.
Sheer skill wise, I think I've tapped Leon out on his physical attributes, though I may increase streingth a bit. I think he's currently the fastest guy on Althanas at the moment, so I'm fine there. I also wanna play around with yarn magic more often, and eventually move onto where Leon would use stuff like vines, razor wire or people's veins at the string to channel the magic through. Now, if only I wasn't so tired I could actually be working on this. :(
You should make him evil. I want to see an evil kitty.

After Tarry dies and comes back to life (think of him as an evil, badass version of Jesus) he's going to be a lot more cruel. Your going to see a lot more a sadistic, racists, semi-machositic streak to him. I still need to decideo on his new look and gear. From that point on untill I have him turn good again (if it happens) his abilities will likely reflect his shift in personalty to have more sadistic feeling to them.
Alright, I'm bored and about to post, so I'll play along and post up in here...
Ranger – My plans for my elven prophet at the moment are minimal. I don’t really want to push him into something that I can’t finish, at the moment, so I’m probably going to just do a little more stuff with following the gods or something. I want a bit more money too, because I like the shinneys. Other than that, nothing else.
Oh, and he’s going to die… by one of my other characters.
Osato – Has no plans, I just go wherever the winds (or my thoughts for the time) take me with him. My only plan with him is to make him an anti-magic character, like I had originally intended. Beyond that, just a better mercenary I suppose.
Dirge – My plans for him are to make him an advanced dirge mage, eventually pushing him into Raiaera to learn the forbidden school.
Nwalmaer – (Yes, he’s mine). I plan on turning this mutant around a bit. He’s going to be a pawn of the Alerar government for a while. Then, later, he’ll kill his ‘masters’ and reestablish The Banishment. From there I want to somehow link it as something akin to a special forces/behind the scenes assassins… and do stuff…
New Character – Unnamed, at the moment… he’s going to be a ‘special force’ person for Salvar, working for the church. I have a lot of missions lined up for him, but don’t want to throw myself into another character until I’ve finished focusing on at least one.

Dan is just going to get bigger and stronger, and tap into a potential for earth magic. I'm not sure how long he's going to stay like how he is now, but I'm enjoying writing him like this.
