Due to some last minute events coming on, judging will begin on Conference I on Friday afternoon.

I expect it to commence by Sunday evening, and then threads for choosing the match-ups of the next round will begin the day after, with match-ups beginning on Friday the 2nd.

Just out of curiosity...

how are matches such as mine handled in a tournament?

Most likely you will win by default but not get a judging or EXP/GP.

If someone doesn't reply to your post, it's almost assuredly going to be your win. Usually, the last person who posts in a timely manner will win a battle that's under 5 posts (you wouldn't win if you waited to first reply until the last day, obviously) - battles between 5 and 9 posts won't get as many comments and half EXP/GP, while battles with 10+ will get full treatment.

Would it change anything if a battle did not have 10 posts+, but did have over 10 000 words?

Sounds fair, Santhy. I was wondering about that in my Izvilvin-Hushypoo battle.

See, in battles, the number of posts relates to the amount of inter-character action and responses. Too few entail a lack thereof.

No - unless it was clearly finished (as opposed to a quest, for example, that's less then 10 posts but more then 10,000 words and is closed).

A double-post, but an update - looks like the judgings will be finalized late Monday evening...so just push all the dates in the first post forward a day.
