Chromanon Rockskin

This character was Level 4, I believe, precrash. I don't remember how much gold she had, but I know it was a pretty penny between winning the LCC and her participation in the Adventurer's Crown. I'll leave it to moderator discretion.

Name: Chromanon Rockskin Thok
Race: Kendergoyle
Height: 4' 2"
Weight: 342 lbs
Gender: Female

Appearance: The kender race are much like elves. Their ears are lightly spired, their bodies slight and their faces always young. The kender, however, never get past looking like children. Their small, spry bodies appear as those of adolescents to uneducated humans. The only way to tell an aging kender is to look at the wrinkles of their face. As time marches on, faint lines appear around the eyes and mouth. These laugh lines are greeted happily, and never complained about. You will never see a kender with a wrinkled brow. They almost always appear cheerful. Chroma has all these traits. Once she had brown hair and eyes, but these have changed, darkening into blackness. Her skin, once so tanned from the sun has bleached slightly, though it will probably return to it's former state soon. She wears a simple brown tunic and bright blue leggings tucked into faded boots that were once stained purple. Several belts grace her hips, holding many pouches - most empty. Her teeth have taken on a feline edge, the eyeteeth elongating and sharpening to be just barely noticeable. A strange red "birthmark" of two intercepting lines have appeared faintly between her brows. Her famous topknot is now gone, her raven locks allowed to fall freely around her shoulders.

Personality - Chromanon has always been, in the tradition of kender, random. Her words and actions don't seem to run on any particular frame of thought and can turn at any moment. She is completely immune to fear, and would approach both a child and a slavering monster with the same enthusiasm. She loves to talk, and has a habit of "collecting" items of interest from the ground, tables, and sometimes pockets. She adamantly insists, however, that she is no thief.

Since her fall and return from the limelight, something has changed about Chroma. Her demeanor, while just as strange and random as before, has a strange air of calm to it that wasn't there before. It's unnerving to intuitive people near her, though those who aren't gifted at detecting subtle things like that, she'd probably come across as the same old Chroma.

Equipment/Weapons/Armor

Petrified Monkey Foot - Taken from an attacker in Salvar in the Adventurer's Crown, Chromanon has developed the fossilized hand of a primate to a formidable weapon. The hardness of the appendage has become quite like concrete.

Hoopak - The hoopak is a traditional kender weapon. Chroma's is made of oak. It is a staff with a split in the wood at the top. Leather is tied between the prongs to form a slingshot. At the bottom is a spear tip made of steel. The hoopak is hollow, and when spun, lets out a low moan like a roar of a large predator. It is also used often in kender folk music as an instrument much like a bass woodwind. Please note that any kender folk music should be approached with caution. It has been known to cause terrible headaches.

Other Items

The seeing Jade - Gained in the afterlife during the Lornius Corporate Challenge, this small semi-precious stone allows her to see anyone she wishes. She uses it to keep an eye on her husband, Ter-Thok. It cannot be sold.

Skills

Agility - Despite the fact that her dense structure makes her insanely heavy for her size, she can still scamper around with the best of them. Her skill at climbing, jumping, rolling, and any of the rogue acrobatics associated with her people is completely unhampered, however, she does have to be careful at what she's climbing and jumping on.

Taunt - Chromanon has the innate ability to get on anybody's nerves. When she's actually TRYING to be annoying, there are few things in the universe more maddening and destructive to patience.

PMF Martial Arts - Chromanon Rockskin is the Supreme Master of Petrified Monkey Foot Martial Arts. This is quite possible because she is the only person who practices it. The practice includes the following moves:
---Digging For Gold - The index finger of the monkey foot is longer than the others, and stretches forward where the other three fingers curl inwards. This move involves shoving the foot forward, the index finger penetrating an opponents nose. An extremely uncomfortable and smelly move, sure to bring frustration and shock!
---One Eyed Jack - The index finger of the foot is shoved foward, much like the maneuver for DFG. This time, however, it is inserted into the eye socket. Works best if used just after DFG, when the finger of the appendage is covered in mucus and gritty boogers that may temporarily blind the opponent.

God Calling - Due to the touch of a wandering voodoo queen, Chromanon has gained the ability to call upon dieties and ask them of favors.
---Calling - At this level, Chromanon can only call on local dieties. Large, popularly worshipped dieties can't hear her small call, so it's just the little fish she's dealing with right now.
---Influence - At this level, Chromanon has no influence over any dieties. All of her favors are completely up to the whims of the dieties. She can ask, beg, plead, demand, scream or whisper, and she would still have no sway over a god or goddess' decision to help her.
---Regularity - At this level, Chromanon can only call one deity per quest.

History

Chromanon Rockskin started out as art. She was a sculpture that was formed by a kender craftsman long ago. One day, a wandering magician came to the village and was “recruited” by the kender to judge their art competition. He tied a blue ribbon around the stone topknot of the kender statuette, unknowing that it was a ribbon he’d enchanted long ago with the gift of Life. Thus, he created the first and only kendergoyle. Chromanon became alive, a cursed/blessed creature to live and breathe in the sunlight, and turn again to stone when the dark night came down upon the world. Like any kender, wanderlust hit her and she began to travel.

She met Ter-Thok, a demon, in her travels. In her eyes, they became the best of friends. They entered a tournament together, the Lornius Corporate Challenge, and won. During the course of the tourney, Chroma faced down her fear of the darkness, and overcame it. After the tournament was over, Ter-Thok suffered an allergic reaction to some mushrooms that Chroma fed him and in his trance, agreed to marry her. Or rather, didn’t run away when she dragged him to the altar. Their marriage didn’t last long. The day Ter-Thok came out of his trance, he ran Chromanon off.

She wandered alone for a while and joined the Adventurer’s Crown. There she met several people, one of them Ashiakin. She became quite taken with the Salvaric noble, but they parted ways quickly. Her teammates included Gild Sorrain and Damon Kaosi, and a doll that was manipulated by a dream demon. After the excursion to Salvar, she left their party and has yet to meet up with them again. Her main goal was to be reunited with her husband. She had begun to miss him, and wanted to seek him out.

Instead she found trouble with the law, and was sent out to sea to be devoured by a sea god. Drifting to the horizon in a small rowboat was the last time that she ever saw anyone again. She drifted to a small island, where she met a mad inventor and a voodoo queen. She was given the gift of God Calling by the queen and sent to the inventor. The queen intended the kender to be the ultimate weapon against the rational mind of the inventor. She was sent away from his house within three hours of arriving, and, forgetting all about the queen’s instructions, decided not to go back. She wandered the island. Therein, she found a small cavern.

In the cavern, she found a small arch, lined with jades. A curtain lay still. She walked through the arch, moving aside the curtain as she came out the other side. She did not, however, come out unchanged. The creature that emerged from the cave stretched, and then went about building the boat that would bring it back to civilization.

The question remains; is Althanas ready for the return of Chromanon Rockskin?
