Name: Ginx Mistkit
Species: Spirit Neko
gender: female
Age: 17
Hair Color: gold
fur color(ears and tail): Gold
Eye Color: sapphire
Height: 4'7"
Weight: 90 lbs
*Occupation: Spirit enchantress
Appearance: A lithe cat girl with golden hair and fur and sapphire eyes that gleam brightly with life. She often wears wears baggy silver white robes with runes written on it in silver blue, despite the runes they have no magic and merely show her rank of an apprentice. There is also a blue mark on the side of her torso a few inches above her belly that is the sign of what she she owes to a water spirit.
Magic: Ginx has two forms of magic that she can use.
Spirit magic: This is Ginx's main form of magic, she can call forth a spirit for a favor and must bargain with the spirit who will want something in return. This magic is very flexible as it depends on the spirits of the area. Forests would have life giving and plant growing tree spirits. Ginx is an apprentice and so can only deal with lessor spirits. Also being an apprentice means the spirits won't go all out as they don't expect much of her offering and faith in her abilities.
Spirits Ginx can commune and bargain with as well as examples of things the spirit is capable of.
Tree spirit: plant growth, minor healing (hasten natural healing and stabilize bloody wounds, prevent ) learn things that the tree has seen.
Tree spirits need trees and prefer flowers as a sacrifice
Fire spirit: be protected by mundane fire, make an object glow, create a shroud of smoke to obscure.
fire spirits need a place of extreme heat or a fire that has burned for over a week. They like things that burn for sacrifices
water Spirit: cause water to freeze, find water and allow breathing under water.
Water spirits need a source of water thats at least a small spring or pond. they like exotic liquids (fine whines, perfumes)
earth spirit: Move the earth, cause rock to become mud or vice versa, make the skin become as strong as rock.
Earth Spirits are found everywhere but the hardest to convince, likes gold or gemstones as a sacrifice.
storm spirit: cause it to rain, create wind to make missile attacks more difficult.
Storm spirits are found only when there are several clouds of Cumulous, nimbus and Cumulous nimbus are around. They like things with a sweet scent as a sacrifice
Ancestor spirit: Curse some one with bad luck or bless someone with good luck.
Ancestors are found in graveyards or a place where the ghosts of people haven't moved on. Sacrifice depends on the individual.
Note Ginx cannot call upon the spirits willy nilly, she must have an offering of an item or a favor to the spirit and it's never free. If she does so too much she owe a debt to many spirits and they may avoid her until it's paid. Also the more she asks the spirits the more difficult the task or more valuable the sacrifice. for the most part Ginx will only call the spirits no more than three times in an adventure and not during a hot battle, as it's hard to bargain when trying to stay alive.(Needs permission of an opponent to use in battles.)
Enchanting with spirit magic is powerful and something that mages like Ginx must do from time to time. To enchant the cat girl needs an item of special quality, for a staff it would be a branch of an ancient tree or a sword it would be forged from the fire of a volcano or something like that, unless mythril, for mythril can always be enchanted. Next the kitty needs to perform a service for the spirit, and this service is always harder than the normal magic; an adventure in itself and finally a ritual to complete the spell.
Enchanted staffs and wands: Ginx can use enchanted staffs and wands that she had enchanted herself or has been made with a similar magic. They are only able to make crude effects like elemental bolts or walls, basic evocation and nothing else. While the staff's can become more useful as Ginx improves with magic they will never become as versatile as spirit magic. Also it's forbidden to sell magical staffs and wands outside the order.

Ginx can only carry 1 staff, 1 wand and 5 potions

history:
Grandpa told me it's thanks to the spirits that we don't walk on four legs like our cousins. The first cats to learn the magic did so to become more human to wield tools and magic like them. I do believe him as I learned the art of spirit magic, they allow us to do almost anything.
My training was quite tough, it started with learning spirit speak so I could talk with the spirits then I had to learn how they think so I could convince them to help. That was the hardest part in trying to get into their minds, working with spirits is really hard since their years of living made them much smarter than I. But in the end I was able to make offers fairly easily like healing and making grass grow.
Then I had to make my first staff and that's when the trouble started.
It seemed like a nice calm day when the spirits would be peaceful, a perfect day to speak to the water spirit of the hidden village's bay. I went to the shore and drew a circle in the sand with the needed marking and stuck the ancient oak limb in the center and sent the offering into the water then to sit and wait.
The spirit came, a pretty girl that had a fish tail instead of legs and she asked me what I wanted. "My staff to receive the blessing of the ocean and currents so I can better serve the will of the spirits."
The ocean girl looked strait into my eyes and smiled. "You need to prove that you will serve us. I need you to bring me the Testaments of the Great Ocean."
"I don't know what those are." My head tilted with confusion and I mewed a bit before trying further. "I have several sacrifices for you, they will be my proof." My reply came weak but gained some strength as it went on and my tail flicked with ire.
"No." She said
" Nya please! I need this staff to become more than an apprentice!" I whined and she looked at me coolly and I knew I had lost.
"Then get me the Testaments." She moved her hand in between my robes and touched me. The hand was so cold it was painful causing me to fall down and cry out. With that I was branded with a promise, I could not leave my apprenticeship until I could erase the brand.
